Will this **** EVER stop?!

still feel we should have given one scotty brooks a chance, hes taken a young team much like ours, the thunder and has got them playing much much better then under PJ. He saw the problems there before coming in and he saw the problems here under muss but was never given a chance.
At a certian point I don't think you even bother to swat the trolls who will come around, you just agree with them.
I'll pass on Jordan.Hire Jordan.
I have changed my signature. As down as I've been on Petrie lately, we may need to keep him just to keep the Maloof dumbness in check.
Ditto...I'll pass on Jordan.
The Maloofs have taken a lot of hits over the years and some of them were deserved. In this instance, however, I have to strongly suspect the validity of this rumor, especially since Amick was so vague about his "source" ...
I'd like to see someone challenge Amick to substantiate his allegations, which I really have to suspect were more of an attempt to rile up the fan base - something the Bee has done for years - on an off-hand comment or something similar and not a legitimate piece of information.
I'm pretty happy with the direction the Maloofs are going at this point in time. I actually wonder at times if Amick is trying to fill the void left at the Bee when R.E. Graswich departed.
heck id even put Robert Horry ... in assistant jobs if they retire
Did I just see a pig fly by?
Who cares, we're a lottery team for 3 years even if we got Red Auerbach. As long as the new coach doesn't drive drunk or brawl with fans, we could just as well insert a cardboard cutout next to the bench.

Well, that all depends on what we do in the offseason. You bring in 2 first round picks, a high value free agent/or high value player via trade, PLUS a new coaching staff, and you never know what can happen. I'd like to think that after all of this that we would be better that a 15 win team like we have now.I think if we're going to hire any coach.. its got to be a coach that will be able to develop talent and not necessary a coach who could win a lot of games. I'm pretty positive we won't win many games next season with any coach anyways.

I actually had a dream they hired JVG.
It was pretty weird, because my dreams usually involve attractive women.
our own kevin martin is an outstanding example of the strange mental phenomenon that occurs for many players in the nba. in his first couple of seasons he showed promise as an offensive talent, but his confidence was shaky, at best. so often he looked completely lost on both sides of the ball. then, under the tutelage of rick adelman and his coaching staff, things started to click for kevin in his breakout season. he's completely unrecognizable from the scared, uncertain player the kings drafted. while his game still lacks a whole lotta depth, its impossible not to appreciate the value the kings are getting from a #26 pick...
I completely disagree. Next year we wont make the playoffs, but I could see us challenging for a spot the following year. We have too much young talent on this team not to improve. Unless we have major injuries next year, or hire an idiot like Whisenant, this team will show considerable improvement next year. With the added flexibilty of the salaries we have dumped, we are only going to add more young, talented players. We need an experienced coach to come in here and really teach the young guys how to win and play the game the right way. It is a proccess, but a good coach can really help speed it along.
Forgive me because i haven't read this entire thread, but why not hire Avery Johnson?
i think this is quite wrong...
with the potential #1 pick in the draft this offseason, and with a rather young team already, the kings are in need of a head coach and coaching staff who are able to teach the game of NBA basketball and properly manage an NBA locker room. a losing mentality is difficult enough to manage in the nba, and young teams often never fully realize their potential because they never find the confidence necessary to do so...

some players don't have the physical tools to cut it in the nba (shelden williams, quincy douby, etc), but most just lack the mental composure to put it all together. a good teacher of the game who can keep a lottery-bound locker room together is VERY important to this kings team going forward, especially when seeing the talent of players like spencer hawes and justin thompson. it'd be a damn shame if terrible coaches like kenny natt continued to stunt (or potentially ruin) the potential of our young guys...
We need stability and we need an excellent coach for next year.
