So you, being a fan of the team, want to win, i'm assuming? If that is the case, it is of my opinion that Jimmer starting is a no-brainer. If you want to do poorly and expect Jimmer to win the game off the bench, which is impossible after what the starting lineup does, so be it. Jimmer starting and playing a majority of the game is a good thing if you want to win.
Despite the fact that everything you say is a troll attempt, I actually agree with this post.

Thornton and Reke do awful in 3 games then do above average in a 4th game = "OMG they are the future! All hail Thornton and Reke!"

Thornton and Reke play an ugly game = "This is all coach's fault! Reke and Thornton must not be trying."

Jimmer and IT come in and play very well every time they run the offense together = "They are just getting garbage stats that don't mean anything."

Jimmer and IT make a mistake = "OMG look at these rookies they are killing us. KILLING US! PUT IN 3-11 REKE!"

I don't get this fanbase's delusion that Thornton and Reke are allstar guards... they are not.

I agree with you. This will not only lead to the main players not wanting to play for the coach, reinforce the idea with the supporting cast they should support the main guys but also give a big middle finger to the Front Office. Why coach and try to make it work with the better players when you can have for the 3rd straight season a starting line-up carousel. Why coach when you can try to sub players in on any given night and hope to find something that works?

No, screw letting players get used to a starting lineup and get chemistry.
So Reke/Thornton/Cousins have not had time to build chemistry and understand the NBA game... Jimmer and IT have.

Got it.

Why are you calling me a troll? Back off, please. I express what I believe.

Are you going to refer to the 2nd half of that game every day for the rest of the season? For crying out loud, their stats weren't even that good that game. So for once they had some decent productivity out of their dozens of shots... one game!

And ONE GAME is all that the next game is. Give it a shot, it could work. Reke and Thornton are not playing NBA caliber basketball right now. When Jimmer and IT played together in this game and the Lakers game, it worked. Why not give it a shot?

This team is 2-4, they are not good. Reke and Thornton are not that good. You are acting like we are benching James and Wade... this is nothing even remotely comparable. Thornton would already be sitting on the bench on most NBA teams.
Are you serious? It was the last game. We've played a total of six games. What do you mean am I going to talk about it all season? It happened two days ago.

We've looked our best when Reke and Thornton have been aggressive. We have also looked our worst when going small with IT and Jimmer out there. In our losses we played a small lineup including both for considerable chunks of the 2nd half. In our two wins Reke and Thornton took over at the end. Coincidence? I think not.

Actually no, they haven't. Especially when you put the rest of the team into the equation. MT has been here for a short time, and most of it was while Tyreke was hurt last season. Paul Westphal set a record for starting line-up changes last season. Just because they're all on the same team doesn't mean they've grown on court chemistry without playing major minutes together in a familiar line-up. Right now it's all one-on-one game for the most part and it's a result of that. A lot of stagnant offense because the team as a whole doesn't grasp where each other will be due to PW's offensive scheme.

I listened to Westphals postgame interview and I think the quote is not accurate at the end. OP has it: "I like what Jimmer and IT brought to the team tonight, I think thats a combo we will use to start tomorrows game.” What I heard was and will confirm with a rebroadcast of game on now went more like this: "I like what Jimmer and IT brought to the team tonight, I think thats a combo we'll see more."
that's disappointing...

No matter what the correct quote is, the mere fact that Westphal would think that playing two very small guards at the same time based on one game's performance long after the game was decided doesn't seem very bright. It's the flavor of the month approach to coaching. There is no common sense involved here. I don't know how much detail is required here but they will be a defensive liability based on the fact they are rookies AND each will be matched up against someone far taller.

It simply makes no sense.

If this is true then is pretty obvious who the players not in tune with Westphal are (if that wasn't obvious now).

If we start Jimmer-Thomas backcourt against Denver then Westphal is a dead man walking.

If this is true, he is starting that spectacular nose dive that he is known for when things start going pear shaped.

He may have, Rain and Section may have seen something different who knows. We'll see tomorrow!
Like I said, on the TV side he said they are good offensively, but have problems on the defensive end. Nothing about starting. That doesn't mean he didn't say it to a reporter in the locker room or somewhere else.

I would like to point out the the OP took the quote from a commenter on the Kings SBNation site - who was making a joke.

Ok, as it appears that the original quote was incorrect and fabricated on another site, i am going to close this one up so as not to create even more confusion
