The big thing that’s missing for me is Fox not looking aggressive. When he attacks the basket good things happen. It’s what he’s best at and he’s one of the best in the league at it. His game is made for a Westbrook type role. Towards the end of last year he picked up that aggression and sustained it, scoring almost 30 ppg over the last half of the season. Where did that go? He’s back to being passive and avoiding that bigger role
It’s been said that he was hesitant to take on that role (and it’s not a bad thing to try to avoid being a ball hog). But he took that role and thrived. Things like 3 point shooting or FT shooting might never improve for some players but being more aggressive and playing a more assertive dominant role is certainly something that can (and has) changed. Idk if it’s coaching or himself not looking to play that role, or something else like conditioning, but it feels missing so far. Hopefully he gets back to that but after how he really proved how well he can thrive in that role it’s concerning to see that regress a little bit
