Indeed. Salmons is long and athletic at 6'7" 205, and does play defense from what I've gathered. Aside from that, there are guys like Ron Artest and Eric Musselman to make him better on both ends of the floor, while getting a consistent oppurtunity and having a clear role.
His role and oppurtunity were limited in Philly because of Allen Iverson and other guys ahead of him (also with not standing out sometimes because of that situation in Philly). As was referenced to in the Salmons Bee article, too.
Plus, there is a significant difference in fan-bases.
The settings are simply opposite.
