It's funny how everybody assumes we got a steal by signing Loren Woods. While chances are that he's way more likely to see as many minutes as Ronnie Price than a guy like Kenny or Cisco.
Everyone? I didn't assume we got a steal. And from what I've read in various threads, neither does most others.
I think he'll be the back-up C and get 15-18 MPG.
Actually Salmons is a pretty good defender. Didn't get much of a chance to show it at Philly.
Indeed. Salmons is long and athletic at 6'7" 205, and does play defense from what I've gathered. Aside from that, there are guys like Ron Artest and Eric Musselman to make him better on both ends of the floor, while getting a consistent oppurtunity and having a clear role.
His role and oppurtunity were limited in Philly because of Allen Iverson and other guys ahead of him (also with not standing out sometimes because of that situation in Philly). As was referenced to in the Salmons Bee article, too.
Plus, there is a significant difference in fan-bases.
The settings are simply opposite.
