Thanks , thebadguy, good info and you are quick.
Well Josh Smith is impossible to get with our trade assets and I think there's no any other decent SF on the Pistons' roster. That article says we're thinking about trading for kyle Singler as our new SF. Really, that's the best we can get?
no problem. Thanks , thebadguy, good info and you are quick.

Maybe the Kings' FO is talking with the Pistons management, well I hope there is another team involved because you are right, there's no decent SF aside from Smith that the Pistons can offer. We don't need a SF from the Pistons, necessarily, as any NBA team would be good, providing they can offer at least a decent SF (which Singler isn't).
BOOOOOOO!This is just my idea, how about the Kings trade JT for Joel Anthony of the Miami Heat?
Has there been any report of 8-10 mill a year, or is this some groundless statement based on an unsupported fear?

lol. I get an enormous kick out of this Larry Sanders superstar stuff that has sprung up around the net.
Larry Sanders has half a season of good basketball under his belt, and off of it they signed him to a stupid contract. At which point he fell on his face and them went and hurt himself in a barroom brawl. right now he's a guy averaging 2.7pts 3.7reb on a $12mil contract. I wouldn't be surprised if they'd have a hard time moving for anything right now until he gets back and proves he's not a flash in the pan contract year warrior. You gamble and are wrong on a $12mil contract, you trash your team's future. Make the Biedrins signing look like nothing.
I don't see them moving him just months after dropping the big contract on him as their latest great hope, but if they were going to, I guarantee nobody over these is delusional enough to be demanding a superstar in return. For a team with no backcourt, an IT/Ben combo would be quite the haul in return.
You may be right but what would you expect to get for Thornton? Any port in a storm. We don't need a SF from the Pistons, necessarily, as any NBA team would be good, providing they can offer at least a decent SF (which Singler isn't).
What?Turning Thortan into any img is a maricle let alone a young back SF who can shoot (singler) and clearing his 8mill in cap (villinava expiring)
What?
There's so much wrong in this post, I don't know where to begin. Spelling, grammar, incorrect names, wrong use of words and am I reading it correctly that you meant a "young black SF"?
I was inclined to let that go.I thought it was somebody using a mobile device with auto correct and not bothering to check his/her note before posting it. Lazy. I could be wrong.
Doubt it.
Yeah, you should read some of the text messages my wife sends me when she's out and about. Everything from, "I just sold our first born" to, " I just bought a camel ".
Yahoo Sports reported that the Kings view Thornton as one of their most attractive trade assets
The camel, of course. How much did you get for your first born?![]()

There's also the draft. Defensive role-players tend to be late first round picks. A few teams have multiple picks at the end of the first round this year, and those types of picks can often be bought or traded for. A wing defender would be a nice luxury to have but I think mainly we need to work on our starting lineup and that means a plus defender at PG and a plus defender at PF. Lowry and Bledsoe are both free agents and could help with the PG position. I think Cousins is flexible enough to play either C or PF, so we just need some kind of post defender to slot next to him. Biyombo is probably available. Oden hasn't played yet, but he only signed a 1 year deal. That type of player is usually easier to draft than sign (unless you overpay).

Good points. Certainly we could trade some of what we have for a late first rounder or high 2nd rounder. As most teams don't value defensive minded players over offensive minded players (including us) we would have the luxury and some would say the necessity of getting a defensive minded stud at ANY position. I haven't followed Biyombo's career and am not surprised not to have heard much of him.
Some people would be happy to get a first born with one hump.I'm keeping mine.
