[Game] Game 70: Kings v. 76ers - 3/24/15 - 7:00 pdt 10:00 edt

And how does ANY of this have anything to do with your initial post, which pretty much said we have to treat T. Rob with kid gloves because of his personal life story?

Argue stats and IQ all you like, but you threw out the straw man when you brought up his family. Just sayin'

A crack about a player's IQ (not even basketball IQ mind you...) is not an argument so refusing to respond to it directly is not anything close to a logical fallacy.

JT will be great off the bench. He's a 1.5 among 2s. We just need a quality 4 to start.

Um... Okay, then.

I normally subscribe to the opinion that saying "agree to disagree" is taking the coward's way out of an argument, but I refuse to waste another minute of my brain power on Thomas ****ing Robinson. So, sure, I'll bee dat, for once: agree to disagree, I guess.

The horse no longer even remotely resembles an equine. The bones were stripped of flesh long ago and have turned to dust.

There are lots of things to complain about with our current team execution. I personally think always reverting to "Pace" just shows laziness on the part of the poster.

It's lazy to point out that we continue to lose a shocking amount of games as we have increased pace at the expense of defense? Not sure if I agree with that.

I hope that Karl gets the motto that you can score as many points as you want but it won't matter when the other team is doing the same

I'm only quoting you because you're the most recent person to say this, but I think the most absurd comments I'm seeing on this board are the ones that start with "I hope that Karl gets..."

George Karl has over 1,000 wins. I'm pretty sure he gets a lot more than most of us combined will ever know. It's okay to make those comments about a coach like Keith Smart or Eric Musselman. It's ridiculous to use that phrase over and over when you're talking about a coach of the caliber of George Karl. The man deserves more respect.

I don't necessarily disagree (because Karl clearly sees it), but his history, in and of itself, doesn't make him infallible.

He deserves respect but history does not lie to us. His teams are high scoring and don't play a lot of defense. Don't go back to his teams in the Seattle days...those are long gone and has no merit on how the game is being played in this decade. All I'm advocating for is Karl bringing in some defense and not just think bringing in a Ty Lawson or Collison back will fix things.

It's just my opinion, with which you are of course fully entitled to disagree. The word "pace" has been over-used way too much IMHO, and it's becoming too obvious a catch-word when the truth is a lot more complicated.

We haven't increased pace AT THE EXPENSE of defense. We have continued, for most of the season, to show an alarming lack of attention to defense regardless of the pace of the game.

PACE to me just represents so much more than running up and down the court. It represents every stupid decision made by our FO this year.

That being said....Yes, sometimes I am a lazy poster. :p

If you want me to get more specific.... Our defense is stupid bad. Especially our 3 point defense. We will never win more than 35 games with defense that is THIS bad. The reason our defense sucks is Malone got fired because of PACE.....Anyways, there I go kicking the lumpy ball of mush that used to be a dead horse again!

I'll make a deal with you. I'll only post lazy positive posts (like, next time D-Will gives us a highlight dunk) and try to be more thoughtful with my negative nancyisms in the future! :p

So I'm supposed to just ignore a part of his history/legacy because you don't find it convenient to your argument? Sorry, that's not how it works. His time in Seattle and then Denver showed that he can coach a variety of styles. We'll see it as more time goes by and he actually has the luxury of working with players for more than a few hours at a time.

Some people seem too quick to judge him, conveniently forgetting he was brought in on the fly to work with the scraps on the table. Let him have a voice in the menu and we'll see what happens.

In this regard, we are in total and complete agreement. :D

He hasn't coached in sometime. The game has evolved and it remains to be seen if he can adapt with the way the game is being played now rather than sticking with what got him here....regular season wins no championships.

I wouldn't say ignore it, but it does seem to bear noting that the only time that a Karl-coached team played adequate defense was when he had the greatest defensive point guard of all time at his disposal.
