So Ordinary That It's Truly Quite Extraordinary

Didn't he get $250k from Arizona and it became a huge deal?
That story is highly questionable. Ayton was one of the most investigated players prior to the season start and cleared by multiple NCAA investigators. The alleged dirt on Miller was that he took 100k to shuttle a player to an agent. The ESPN reporter (Schlabach) went dead on the story and twitter after it was proven inaccurate multiple times, edited at least 3 times, and assuming a pending lawsuit reverted back to the original story which was anonymously sourced.

And in the end the actual player in question was believed to have gone to Kansas.

Still Ayton did just sign a huge deal with Puma and leaving a proper tip on a $250 meal should not be hard for him. If you can't afford the tip don't eat the meal.
