So here's a threeway deal that would shore up the PG spot for the Kings, help New Jersey's rebuild, and solidify the front court for Charlotte. We wouldn't be trading with any other west teams, and Charlotte and New Jersey are in different divisions...

Why Sacramento Does This: This trade would solidify the PG rotation going forward, the toughest to fill. The Kings would be set with Devin Harris, Beno Udrih, Bobby Brown, and even Quincy Douby/Bobby Jackson/Francisco Garcia. Kings gain young pieces in both the back and front court to continue with the rebuild, and make room for Spencer Hawes to start. Moves K-Mart before his ankle injuries catch up with him.
Why Sacramento Doesn't do this: Currently, their offense runs through Brad Miller, and losing him for unproven youth would be a detriment short term. The biggest hurdle for this deal would be parting with Kevin Martin, who is blossoming into a near allstar, and is a special offensive player. Gerald Wallace is also injured a lot, and his contract runs through the free agent bonanza known as 2010.
Why New Jersey Does This: Putting Kevin Martin alongside Vince Carter, Ryan Anderson, and Brooke Lopez, makes a potent offensive team. This gives them a perennial all-star talent in Martin a nice PG to boot, and 2 1st round picks this year. Kevin would also live close to his good friend Pete Carrill
.
Why New Jersey Doesn't do this: Devin Harris already looks like an All-Star, and he fills a need more than Kevin Martin does. The pick is late in a weak draft
Why Charlotte Does This: To finally get a quality starting center. Brad is a large expiring in 2010, which is nice, and Stromile Swift expires this year. Both players could play alongside Okafur, and Brad would dramatically improve their pathetic offense. Finally move Gerald Wallace's contract which is large for an oft injured player.
Why Charlotte Doesn't do this: Decreased PG depth and losing their 1st round pick of Ajinca are the only reasons they would hesitate...
