Don't know where to put this, and I dont think it deserves it's own thread because I doubt its credibility. But take it for what its worth...

Per Joe Kotoch of @sheridanhoops, #Nuggets & #Kings have engaged in trade talks involving Boogie Cousins for Ty Lawson & Kenneth Faried.
Ugh such an ugly trade. Doubt any of it's true, but still.

I am a Kings fan. Not a Nuggets fan. I don't want to watch the Denver Nuggets in Sacramento...

Um...that's either the very worst made up rumor of all time or old man Karl is going to have to hire a bodyguard to finish his contract in Sac. I vote worst made up rumor of all time.
I agree with you. One of the problems with having been a very outspoken coach over the years, is that it's easy to attach your name to every rumor that comes down the pike. Karl stated that he was going to go low profile for the draft and freeagency, so until I hear something from his mouth in a video, I'm not buying any of this nonsense.

I certainly wouldn't be. I'd be watching the Sacramento Kings in Denver. And I think Denver is maybe the most trivial and superficial franchise in the NBA now that Bad Denver finally won a title.

However...that is one of those "rumors" that is so asinine...the annoying part is I can't even find its original source, but ESPN Denver is now stoking the fires by running a poll on it for Denver fans. And I'm sure there is some percentage of that brain damaged high altitude oxygen deprived whiplash form watching all the stupid running fanbase saying No! We don't want Cousins!

Cousins, Landry and Karl for Faried, Lawson, #7, #1(somehow they get it from Timberwolves), their first round picks 17, 19, and 2021 and Mike Malone back. Oh, and they stock the soda machine for 3 years. We don't want our guys to have to pay for soda anymore.

Ok, I finally tracked down where some of this latest round of stupidity stems from:

http://www.sportsworldreport.com/ar...-bass-jared-sullinger-ny-knicks-la-lakers.htm

Let me sum up what is in there:

-- According to ESPN's Chad Ford, the Denver Nuggets are trying to get the Kings No.6 draft pick. They are offering up a package that includes Ty Lawson, Kenneth Faried and the No.7 draft pick in exchange for the Kings' top pick and Cousins.

HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

-- Joe Kotoch of SheridanHoops.com took it further saying that the new head coach Mike Malone and general manager Pete D'Alessandro are looking to overhaul the Denver roster and are engaging with the Kings about acquiring Cousins.

Always possible.

Two Words to that Trade: Hell No!

While we gut our team for Denver, How about we give them Rudy Gay and Collison too... geez.

I'm not surprised to see that there are rumors about Cousins going to Denver; it was only a matter of time. But I would also not be completely amazed if Cousins was also pushing for it. Do we want to trade him? Hell no. But it's possible he asked.

That Lauren Moranor gal, author of http://www.sportsworldreport.com/ar...-bass-jared-sullinger-ny-knicks-la-lakers.htm, uses actual Ford's quote
the Denver Nuggets are trying to get the Kings No.6 draft pick.
without adding
but so far they can't get Kings (or anyone else for that matter) to bite on Lawson.
then adds her own
They are offering up a package that includes Ty Lawson, Kenneth Faried and the No.7 draft pick in exchange for the Kings' top pick and Cousins
and finishes with made up rumor from another guy
Joe Kotoch of SheridanHoops.com took it further saying that the new head coach Mike Malone and general manager Pete D'Alessandro are looking to overhaul the Denver roster and are engaging with the Kings about acquiring Cousins.
She makes it look like
They are offering up a package that includes Ty Lawson, Kenneth Faried and the No.7 draft pick in exchange for the Kings' top pick and Cousins
came from Ford as well.

Way to create your own reality!

Actually this Mock Draft from Kotoch appears to be the earlier source: http://www.sheridanhoops.com/2015/06/17/mock-draft-5-0-1-all-the-latest-intel/#UMIW530J1ahrLxoY.99

Of course, he doesn't say exactly that there was talk of a Cousins/Faried+Lawson trade. His exact words are:

With the recent hire of coach Mike Malone and GM Pete D’Alessandro in Denver, I’m hearing from sources that the Nuggets and Sacramento Kings have engaged in talks centered around draft picks and DeMarcus Cousins. While I would be surprised to see the Kings move Cousins, the possibility of adding Ty Lawson and Kenneth Faried is awfully tempting.
So more that "sources" say Cousins for picks was being discussed, and Kotoch throws in the Lawson/Faried angle on his own.

Love how this poopoo morphs into the too-stupid-for-a-reporter idea that the Kings would not only trade Cuz for Lawson/Faried straight up but (in your link) to the idea that we'd actually swap down from #6 to #7 to get it done! SportsReportWorld - If you read it here, you can say you didn't make it up yourself.®

LOL... Like that game where you whisper something to one person and it gets all twisted and changed as it goes down the line and the last person has a totally different scenario than the first person. I remember one of my evolution teachers using that a long time ago in our class.

Pretty soon it will turn into a 3 or 4 team deal if there are cousin or Kings 6th pick rumors with other teams.

Wow, is that the best they can come up with? At least make it somewhat reasonable. Cousins is staying for better or for worse (for him). He's locked into the contract and has no leverage. We need to win games and all of this stupidity will go away.

George Karl needs to let this fantasy go of acquiring essentially the entire Denver Nuggets team. I have no interest in that type of basketball. If this were to happen, I wouldnt tune into Kings basketball ever again.

Karl wants Nuggets, and Vivek wants Warriors...is it too late to call Iguodala back?

+ a lot of Kings fans as a throw in.

Not that I believe this crap, but our FO/Owner were such incompetent laughingstocks last season that any old blogger can post whatever asinine pipedream they pull out of their poopers and, because it's the silly old Kings, people will believe it.

Vlade says Cuz is untradable. The gulf between untradable and Denver's garbage is so Grand Canyonesque that I want to throw PDA into it.

I don't think there's any objective evidence that Karl has a fantasy of acquiring the entire Nuggets team. I suspect that it's much more likely that lazy media people find it easier to speculate that Karl wants all his old Nuggets players than to actually do some research or call some contacts.

'Tis the season that annually reaffirms my disbelief in all media that report "rumors". If a trade is reported as having actually happened, I'll take a look. If a workout with a player is scheduled, hey that's cool. Good to know. Anything else has such a high percentage chance of being so spectacularly wrong that the best bet, by far, is to assume that any rumor you hear is categorically excluded from happening.

I just cant wait till the draft is come and gone. By then we'll have our new pick (hopefully), and we can look towards bringing in talent via free agency. I just want to cool it on the DMC trade talk and start building a team around him.

I don't believe everything I read, but when Cousins name gets thrown out like its trash, then I get angry. Our relationship with him is fragile at best at this time. We fired his favorite coach, our roster sucks, and we have yet to prove to him that he's our guy. Now this Denver stuff? Whether or not this is true, this is yet another rumor involving Cousins only days after we said we wouldn't trade him short of a Jordan type of player. We have to plug the holes.

We already know Pete likes to intentionally leak mis-information to the press. Now he's back in Denver and we get a report that "sources" say they're "engaged in trade talks" to steal our best player for a bunch of garbage nobody wants. Not hard to follow the bread crumb trail on this one...

Well to be fair there seems every opportunity that the hole/source this time would have been on Denver if anywhere. And who did Denver just hire BTW? Uh huh.

But for this sort of thing no real source is even needed. jsut flat sheer speculation based on the circumstances we all can see. Karl is here, must want his guys. Malone is there. Hey, Cousins. All it takes.

Implausible trade scenarios by some Twitter dude in Denver and some desk jockey spilling her drivel at SportsWorldNetReportsCrapCrapCrap.net are not the kind of things that can be plugged. Most of the rumors you read on the internet (on all 30 teams) over the next week will turn out to have been fabricated out of thin air by somebody who has no knowledge of the situation. This is really about journalistic standards being pathetic, and pathetic journalistic standards are the result of the "24-hour news cycle" and rumor-greedy refresh junkies providing a clickbait market for shoddy journalists.

Don't get upset at the Kings front office for something we almost certainly didn't do. Get upset at the suppliers and the demanders that keep the rumor mill going strong.

Pete must know how fragile the relationship is between Cousins and the Kings... and naturally wants to pry him away because Pete now has the one thing we don't and can't have. Malone. Maybe he thinks if he pokes, prods, and continues to make stuff up and feed it to the media (and his standards are literally any type of media apparently), Cousins will ask to leave and Denver will be the top choice.

I dislike people like Pete.

More likely the work of wishful thinkers.

Until we turn this thing around and become relevant and competitive, there will always be rumors.

People like talking about "unhappy"stars and trade scenarios.

Everybody wants them some Boogie.

Exactly how I feel. If it isn't a verifiable fact, go away, please.
