The kings tonight didn't play smart basketball, they for some reason got caught up in a quick pace game that wasn't suitable for the players that we put on the floor, their were too many quick shots with no one underneath the basket which alot of the quick 15 ft shots by the high post offensive players led to easy buckets by the lakers. The kings didn't move the basketball around enough they used one side of the floor which was easy for the lakers to defend,if the kings moved the ball around and had more patience this would have made it tougher for the lakers to get out and run and it would have also put their defense to sleep by making them work more and use more energy, picks and ball movement wear on defenders after a while, this would have zap alot of kobe's energy that he used offensively.
another thing is the defense, perimeter D and interior D,alot of what the kings do defensively depends on their offense and part of what went on wrong with the D was the absence of greg O on the floor he could have help alot by being an interior presence defensively against the penetration which caused the lakers to get the good looks, the double teams on kobe gave the lakers good open looks, with Greg in the game we could afford to not double on the perimeter so much .Greg being in the game doug could have forced kobe to better help positions without leaving the many open looks the lakers got,so with Greg in the game the double teams would be at the last minute instead of early or in inabalance rotation spots.
