Kings active in trade talks?

Terry was obviously in Boston last season, the guy is old and terrible. The funny part is Terry believes he is a lot better then he is, he got Celtics tattoo on his arm before he even played a game for us. Terry is owed 5.4 million next year

He is... Unless you think he's been terrible his entire career? I have always admired how consistent he's been, and how he, in his late 30s, can still play with the young fellows.

I wouldn't mind acquiring Terry and Evans for the simple reason that it gives us a few expiring contracts OR maybe even a few solid pieces to throw into a blockbuster deal in the future....

Alright now I'd be down for a jack trade if we are trading IT. Hopefully the Knicks strike out on Teague/Lowery which they will. Then we send them IT for Shumpart.
Jarret Jack has sucked this season no thanks, IT has been way better and Jack is a shoot first guy just as much as IT. Don't let assist numbers fool you the guy takes a insane about of contested/terrible shots and is older than IT and won't get better but worse.

From Twitter (sorry if this was already posted and I missed it):

Kings in tough spot w/IT headed to restricted free agency. Of course ... anyone trading for his big stat line/low salary faces same issues

Kings moved swiftly today to make it clear Ben McLemore will NOT be dealt this week but strong word in circulation is Thomas CAN be had

Most intriguing Sacramento-based deadline story is increasingly loud buzz out there that Isaiah Thomas is available in midst of career year

I'm a huge fan of IT, but I'm a bigger fan of not losing talented assets for nothing in return.

That doesn't mean impossible to sign IT, but again, if they've determined that they can't/won't, there's no point in keeping him this year.

Kings have serious cap issues next year assuming Rudy stays. Factor in a top 5 rookie scale player and signing IT is very difficult.

I think with Jack you have to put his performance this season in perspective -- in other words in the perspective of him playing for Cleveland. I would say the likelihood of him bouncing back if he came here to play for Malone would be considerable. Note BTW that Varejao is also there, that Waiters is a problem for them, and that Thornton could replace him.

As far as him being shoot first, yes, he's a combo type guard better suited for 6th man duty. But the mere relief of getting a combo guard who shoots 12 times instead of 16 helps, and this one can defend when motivated, which you assume Malone would know.

Kings come out today defending Ben but not IT.
As a huge IT fan who had great visions for his future here it's tough to believe he might be on his last legs here. The dumb Landry move has made re--signing him arduous and this is the reason I guess we are in every pg rumor including for Terry.
Sad departure for me if this goes down

Bucks veteran shooting guard Gary Neal has drawn interest from several teams and seems certain to be dealt. The Bucks are also dangling young power forward John Henson and could package him with a veteran player with a high salary like shooting guard O.J Mayo, who is in the first season of a fully-guaranteed three-year, $24 million deal. Interesting .......... anything we can help them with?

Ugh, look's just like an opinion piece.

IT has to go now, For PDA to go out of his way to say "Ben is going nowhere" but not say that about Isaiah confirms he is being shopped big time and isn't seen as a piece going forward. Why would he want to re-sign with a team that was shopping him to everyone just a few months earlier? Its Rondo, Lowry or bust for me personally. Jarrett Jack is a nice backup, but thats it.

Don't know if anyone at posted these figures, but if Gay decides not to opt out, our payroll will be at 71.1 million, and that's without resigning IT. The luxury tax threshold is 71.7 million if memory serves. That would mean its impossible to resign IT without going into the luxury tax. Plus, we'd also have to sign our draft pick. The only way I can see our resigning IT is if we can extend Gay for less money, or if Gay opt's out. Anyway you look at it, its a risky move to just wait and see what happens. Now if we hadn't signed Landry.............

We don't need to replace his scoring. We need to replace him with someone who can defend and run the offense appropriately.
So you want Ricky Rubio? IT isn't just a "scorer", his dribble penetration ability is matched by very few from the PG position(and we have no one else on this roster that does it consistently). Cousins and Gay are almost strictly isolation players, we need someone that can penetrate also.
