Kings active in trade talks?

I wonder why he thought he'd need an ally, if that is the case. It was bad enough he brought his dad, he needed a big brother to have his back too? Just a bit strange to take a player that gives you nothing the team needs just to have an ally. And for 4 years!
I wouldn't say solving it is worth $26 million over four years, but I do remember hearing the word "poisonous" used often to describe our locker room the past few years.

I can no longer stand the Hyperbole.

A player that gives you nothing? WTF are you talking about? I wasn't enamored with the deal we signed with Landry, but JFC man, he's not a rec league player.
I repeat, the kings signed a player that gives them nothing the team needs. Sign an assistant coach like Corliss if you need a ra ra guy to sing kumbaya in the locker room. That costs a lot less than 26 million.

The problem is, if you sign a team of Carl landrys, you end up with the team we have now. It's not very good. Hayes, salmons, outlaw, Thornton, and maybe JT. All avg players slightly overpaid. Now Landry. You sign a team of limited players, you get a limited team.

That is absolutely not the same as saying he's a worthless player. I'm sorry you lack both comprehension and reading skills.

Carl was only here for half of Cousins rookie season. I think the comment was speaking of these last two years with no veteran presence on the team other than salmons.
Yeah, and they immediately cleared Landry out to make room for cousins.

Bottom line, they got a backup pf before getting the starter. That's my huge problem with it. Sure in 2-3 years he might be a nice piece off the bench. But that's hardly priority 1.

Hayes was also brought in to be the locker room presence if I recall. How's that going?

But anyway, beating a dead horse here.

I don't love the Landry signing, but I like what he can bring ONLY if he is a third big super-sub. Landry is a pretty good and efficient post player, but he is not dominant like Cousins. The both prefer the same space on the court, so I see Landry as the guy you bring in when Cousins needs a breather.

You just have to find the rim protecting PF/C somewhere out there who can play with both Landry and Cousins in a 3 big rotation.

Yes, you are, im the meantime we have Landry healing and we will eventually get he and his talents back on the court for us. Note: most teams are made up mostly of "average" players so please show a little respect for ours.

That's not exactly a trade rumor. It's more of a "Jimmer kinda makes sense for the Bulls now that Rose is out" speculation. Not even any thoughts about what might come back the other way. Jimmer to the Bulls could conceivably happen, but I don't think this article indicates anything is on the burners, it just looks like random musing.
What if it happens, who do you think would the Bulls give the Kings in exchange for Jimmer?

That site makes even Bleacher Report and Yahoo Contributor Network look authoritative. I'm not even mad; that's amazing!

How much input do you have on who plays and who doesn’t? Is it Michael Malone’s show to run or do you say, ‘lets give this guy a look to see what we have here’? Pete D'Alessandro: Michael makes the call on the floor and always will. I have an incredible amount of respect for his decision-making. The thing I really think is unique to us, I think is the respect we pay each other. We speak multiple times a day. We sit right next to each other all day long. I seek his council for player decisions and he seeks mine as well. It’s been that type of a partnership. At the end of the day – at 7 o’clock, this is his show right now and that’s it. Interesting. Seems like Malone has had quite a bit of pull with our player decisions.

That's talking more about playing time, not so much personnel decisions.

LOL at Salmons going back and forth to Sac & Chicago if it happens. Hopefully Bulls also give Hinrich, an upgrade over Vasquez.
And why exactly would the Bulls do that? If Hinrich is an upgrade over Vasquez, he's already better than what they'd be getting in return... That's why the whole thing is just stupid to begin with.

I just finished watching that infamous comeback game in 09 between Sac/Chi and GUESS WHO missed assignment after assignment? You guessed it STINKY FISH.

oh yeah, maybe throw in IT. I bet the Bulls wouldn't even trade Noah for Fredette/Salmons.

Hinrich doesn't have his legs and can't really play anymore. I'm not a fan of Greivis at this point but Kirk isn't an upgrade
Defensively he certainly is. That would be the theory though. They are in entirely different classes of players. Grevis is Calderon without the shot. Pure PG who can run things impact free. Hinrich's a roleplayer. 3 and D, direct the offense, almost never have much direct productivity, just make sure the right guys do. Its an apples and oranges case.
