It's summer league......

All the tackling, pulling of jerseys, jumping on peoples backs. That doesn't happen in the regular season. You don't have 10 fouls to throw around in the real games. Nothing was settled today and nothing was settled yesterday. I mean, JJ was a bust yesterday and superman today. Jordan Bell had 4 points in 30 minutes last night and was only slightly better today. Jaren Jackson Jr wasn't great tonight either. Careers aren't decided in Summer league.

Bagley with a horrid performance. I was hoping more of the same from last night.
That would have given me a least a sliver of hope.

Teams have the film on him now. One hand dominant, not a good passer, will have a harder time rebounding against these monster big men in the NBA, zero perimeter game and abysmal d.

He has a lot to work on the next 3 months. Tonite was a reality check.

Sorry, I don’t see anything special, yet.
I see high energy, good attitude and fearless. But I am not it seeing the talent align with that. Yet.

If this is any Indication. Joerger is still starting Randolph next season.

After such an emotional game yesterday it's not a huge surprise for Bagley on Giles to come out flat. It was clear that Frank and JJ were much more ready to play. It's going to be interesting to see the rookies adjust and see if the others progress.

It's always fascinating to see people put way too much stock into summer league outings. For some reason it surprises me a little every year.

You should copy and paste this. Change the names and you could use it every year for every fan base. It's true whether guys look terrible or great.

He's 19. Most of the players today haven't learned much in AAU ball and one short season of NCAA ball. He's going to need to learn defense, positioning, off-hand play, etc. That can be taught and learned. What you can't learn are the intangibles: athleticism, tenacity, attitude, and fortitude. MB3 seems to have the intangibles to learn, work hard, never give up, and out-hustle the competition. With those tools, his skills will grow too. Lottery picks coming out of school are no longer finished products, and people need to remember that.

psst....Luka Doncic is 19 years old and a pretty polished basketball player. With that said, yep Marvin has work to do. At this point he's a high energy big that needs a playmaker to work with.
