[Game] Kings @ Hawks 11/18/15 - 5 PM PST, 8 PM EST

I don't know what Karl or any of you see with Rondo-Collision,, but putting them together on the court is like oil and water. They don't complement each other at all. One of either Ben or Marco has to be out there with one of them.

At this point, Rudy can be benched for all I care. His basketball IQ is horrendous. The shots he takes are just incredibly stupid. That's what separates him from being good to great. Just not the smartest basketball player out there.

I never want to see Rondo and Collison together again. It's not that they are bad with them but we have too much skill to resort to that. McLemore didn't get much time and he looked good. We'll see what happens with Belinelli. WCS needs more time.
With DC back in the line up, does that mean Ben is back in the dog house? I mean the kid ought to continue to show what he can do based on the last couple of games.

This loss stings a bit, winnable game game against a top tier opponent. Turnovers killed us, poor decision making in the last few minutes didn't help. On to the next one.

Look at these last defensive possessions for both teams. We have Gay on Millsap. They put in Sefolosha on Bellinelli . They used their defensive specialist. We didnt.

Our turnovers killed us this game. I don't think the Hawks are a great team. They don't make a lot of mistakes and play to their potential. We didnt play to our potential and still had a chance to win. Karl needs to figure out that going small and playing faster, we just don't pull it off. Slow down the pace like in the last 3 games.

Last 9 minutes did us in again. I believe it was 87-83 Hawks with 9:20 to go and we just crumbled with stupid basketball. Did the same thing against the Spurs and we'll learn sooner or later that we can't make mistakes against the great teams. And the Hawks are a great team at home.

Moral victories are cheap, but this certainly felt like another game where we lost the game rather than the Hawks beating us down.

In a game like this where Rondo was throwing the ball all over the arena, I would be happy if the minutes were split between Collison and Rondo and they never played together. Obviously you adjust if someone is hot. Cousins disappeared.

Did he maybe take himself out of this game mentally?

It took George way too long in the fourth quarter to get Rondo and DeMarcus on the floor together. That's our bread and butter this season, they should both be on the floor for the last 8 minutes of every game. Also, Ben has played well enough to earn some fourth quarter minutes by now. He was great down the stretch in the Toronto game and yet we watched Collison and Belinelli give away key possessions down the stretch tonight. Why? In general, George's idea of playing Rondo and Darren together for anything more than emergency minutes still strikes me as a terrible idea. Having a great backup PG doesn't mean you need to handicap yourself by playing small, playing Rondo off the ball, or trying to closeout games with three guards and Rudy at PF. I don't think we need to trade Darren, but I do think he's a weapon best utilized this season in small bursts of frenetic activity. Limit his minutes but have him go 100% the entire time he's out there and run circles around the other team.

He sure looks effective when he's out there.....just don't get it.
He disrupts everything in 8 foot radius of the basket. Not all blocks but alters shots and angles aren't what the shooter wants. I'm done talking about the rondo/collison pairing. If that idiot can't see it by now my bitching don't help. We just have to deal with it and watch losses pile up again

Even when they were down by 2 I had a 10 out of 10 feeling Atlanta was going to score regardless
at the end of the day, i said it would all come down to how we react after a loss following the team meeting.

we could have won this and it is an oppourtunity lost, however its how we come back off it. We must learn and keep up momentum and not spiral into something else.

that applies for all including Karl.

Very winnable game thrown away because (1) Rondo throwing the ball away like Mudiay (2) Marco can't get open no matter how hard he tries (3) Ben sent to bench too early in the 3rd after playing good defense and draining 3-ball (4) Cousins and Rudy not very interested in defense and (5) an uninspired Karl.

Not sure about Rondo and Collison in the backcourt together. I don't see any chemistry there.

Maybe WCS wasn't switching enough aslkjfahdfsjdhgasjkdg1111!!!!

Ben, who was 3/3 from downtown and playing great, got a total of 17 minutes.

Long term it might be a bad thing we almost came back with that lineup (DMC, Rudy, Marco, Collison, Rondo) because it should not see more than maybe 4 minutes a game.

We are going to go 0-3 on this road trip (already 0-1, Cousins probably won't play tomorrow so 0-2, and we are the Kings, so we will flop against the Magic, thus 0-3 and possibly talks of Karl being fired again).
