My inner conspiracy theorist says: Hence, exactly why he wants to upset Boogie enough for him to request a trade. And this trade will be to the Warriors.
Sure, sure. The guy spent like $500M to buy a team so that he could help somebody else win a championship. This is my "dude, stop while you're behind" face.

Cousins liked and respected Malone, who had a persona like a Marine drill sergeant. Corbin's persona is the exact opposite, a gentle guy who doesn't seem willing to call anybody out.

I think it's only a matter of time before Cousins, and perhaps Cousins and Gay, as the leaders of the team, and having learned leadership skills at team USA, speak up. And by that I mean speak up against management. Malone's firing was basically an unprecedented even in the NBA: a coach off to a great start who had the support of the locker room.

And I'd be ALL for it. I seriously hope Cousins gets vocal about this bullpoopoo. And NOT just the typical "calling out your team without naming names". I want him to call out PDA and Vivek on the farce they are pulling.
I know how we all feel about this, but we can't let players influence moves, whether anyone likes it or not. Not the players place to have a say in it.

If you want to do that, look at Cleveland. LBJ is practically the GM at Gibbert's ear. Lebron wanted a superstar next to him...he wanted Kevin Love. What did they do? Got Kevin Love at the expense of Andrew Wiggins.. They gave up a very young future potential all star player for a player who may or may not be in their long term plans.

His lack of respect for Blatt shows. If the leader of your team, Lebron James blows over a coach, all of the younger guys will follow.

There are Also rumors about Tristan Thompson's influence on LJ staying at Celveland for leverage. They both have the same agent. Thompson turned down a 13mpy contract..... And people said JT is overpaid.

Speak up against management would be the lowest of the low for the entire kings. It's obvious that in Cleveland, James is displeased with the coaching, but he's not going to go and call out Blatt. I hope boogie won't have to come down to that.. If that happens, it literally means he's demanding a trade.

you mean, we'd get draymond green, harrison barnes, klay thompson only to parlay them to another team and collect 2nd rounders + trade exception? yaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy. patented gerbil move

I hear you, but Cousins is no LBJ. He WANTS a strong coach. We HAD a strong, demanding coach, who had the respect of the players. That is very hard to come by. It's Pop type stuff. It's a very special skill. That's what Cousins wants. He is a man of loyalty, not a control freak.

So I don't mean Cousins lobbying for players. I mean Cousins and Gay uniting to call out ownership on their dishonesty and calling for Malone to come back. That would be the bold move. Perhaps they have a players only meeting and get the team on board before going public. I would be supremely impressed.

And no, it wouldn't mean he's calling for a trade. It would mean he cares very much for this team, and this town, and wants to make good on his promise to bring the Kings back to success, but that he won't stand for incompetent and dishonest management.
