Wow- this board is on full tilt. I am glad I stayed away during the losing streak, and will probably stay away a few more days. Just on this one page (page 11) of the game thread there is:
1) A suggestion that there is a serious issue with Fox's attitude
2) a suggestion that Fox never wanted to sign with Sacramento
3) a suggestion that Brown was directly calling out Barnes in a presser after Barnes had a monster night
As to #1, we have seen this from Fox before. He plays with so much energy and effort that he gets banged up. He has never used it as an excuse before and I doubt he will now. His coaching staff has never mentioned it in the past either. I doubt they would suddenly say that Fox is dealing with some nagging injuries if he doesn't want it known.
As to #2, what?!?!? Like actually what???? The guy has been the absolute face of this franchise and city for several years. By all accounts, including his own, he genuinely loves it here. Saying crap like this is what starts crazy rumors and makes it look like people have agendas. Post a link from a credible source or GTFO with this nonsense.
As to #3. What?!?!? Like actually what?!?!? Brown has very rarely called out anyone, and certainly not when they are going good. Listen to the clip; it is clearly a reference to the fact that Barnes doesn't bring the ball up and initiate his offense. But seriously, in what universe is Brown calling out a guy like Barnes, in a presser, after a win, when Barnes scored 32 points???
People need to breathe. We lost 4 in a row. The 76ers loss was bad. We should have won the Bucks and Suns games. No two ways about it. We were the better team overall on both nights. We frittered those away and came home and laid an egg on the first game after a long road trip. We are not the first or the last team to lay an egg on the first game home after a long road trip. If Dame misses the three (or Monk hits a free throw) and we make one more stop in Phoenix, no one is talking about how bad we are, even if we lost to Indy. You can't make broad sweeping conclusions based on a few small bounces or outcomes. What matters is if the team is still together- last night seemed like a pretty good indication that they are, and the team rallied to get a good victory even without Fox playing very well.
