Why is Bill Lambier even listed? WTF????
He needs to dress better too. Go shopping with Peja. Euro style!gat said:I think RA is in need of a new image. Please Shave that head and get rid of that mustache.
Bibby_Is_Clutch said:Larry Brown... We gave Ricks offensive system a shot and for the most part it worked but now times are changing and its very hard to win with just an offense. With Larry he would bring the deffensive mindset to the team and would hopefully scout defensive players and turn us into a detroit.

Padrino said:is that really what you want?! do ya really want the kings to all of a sudden become the detroit pistons? i love the kings because they're the sacramento kings. they play kings basketball, not pistons basketball.
at any rate, it dont matter what coach ya bring in...yer not gonna be able to magically transform offensive-minded players into defensive-minded players. it just aint gonna happen.

Bibby_Is_Clutch said:Who doesnt like "Kings Basketball"? But it will NOT win us a champioship and I know the players, fans and owners wont play "Kings Basketball" when they could play "Detroit Basketball" (Which I havent heared of, unless you are referring to defense and in that case SA plays good Detroit Basketball as well) and have a shot at the title again. Thinks need to change, and maybe we need to test new things out like new schemes, etc.
Also... I never said anything about transforming our current players into defensive players... obviously we would need to get different players that focus on defense which may mean trading some players away. I think we need to hold on to Bibby and Peja and possibly Miller if he can come back at 100% and his old self. Peja's defense is getting significantly better so we may want to keep him (if he wants to stay) and miller and dump Bibby.
Now I hope you are smart enough to understand that Im not saying "Lets go trade Bibby and play 'detroit' basketball" because I think most understand what im saying. We need a defensive unit like SA or DET. And believe me... it DOES matter what coach you have because they can change a team because if they couldnt... then it wouldnt matter who coached the team, as long as they were good.
If the Kings pick up and trade for defensive players and become a very very good defensive team like SA or DET then they will still be the Sacramento Kings. This is a era of Kings Basketball that is now over. No longer will we say "Kings Basketball" and refer to wonderfull passing from bigmen with lights out shooting from our guards and a team that can put up 110-120+ a night. If thats what you still want then you may need to find another team because I know the Maloofs understand that this style just wont cut it anymore.
I hope you understand what Im trying to say and dont mix it up.
Padrino said:eh...i could do w/o your patronizing tone. and yes, you did say something about turning our players into defensive minded players. you said, and i quote "With Larry he would bring the deffensive mindset to the team." now, correct me if i'm wrong, but bringing a "defensive mindset" would be the same as trying to turn the players we have into defensive minded players. also, your misusing the terms "kings basketball" and "detroit basketball." when i say kings basketball, i mean the style of basketball the kings play. and when i say detroit basketball, i mean the style of basketball detroit plays. its not complicated. dont read into it so much. san antonio doesnt play detroit basketball, they play san antonio basketball. each team has their own system which the players buy into. thats, in part, credited to the head coach, but not entirely. in order to get a "defensive unit" like in SA or detroit, you have to give up bibby, you have to give up miller, you have to give up peja, and essentially everybody else, because those are not defensive minded players. i aint sayin that a new coach is gonna change all that, and i aint sayin that a new coach wouldnt be able to. all i'm sayin is that bringin larry brown in is not going to guarantee the kings any kind of playoff positioning. with a team in such a state of disarray as the kings, you'd be just as well off with rudy t, flip saunders, or even phil jackson. the kings front office should worry about the roster before they worry about the coach. you needn't try so hard to twist my words around....ok?
