VSL Game 5 Thread - Kings vs. Knicks

JT's issue is two things:

1. He looks slower and heavier, and is finishing as such.
2. Evans game kind of clogs the lane for bigs, gathering the whole team on him and dropping it off. Sometimes the guys getting the ball at the basket are going up against 3-4 guys.

I like see Donte in the post. Thats something he will have to work on, but will give him an advantage in the future.

Portland looked way better than the Kings two years ago. The Kings may be Portland 3-4 years ago.

People didn't really expect Aldridge to double his scoring average in 1 season so you never know what can happen. That was probably the biggest difference in Portland going from a 32 win team to a 41 win team. That and Roy's emergence as a bad ***. I think we might be more like the 32 win Blazers right now though.

Did Joe really just say Douby has the ability to put up 40pts in the nba, and he's dissapointed we let him go? Wow

He does have that ability...only when you see him in practice or a meaningless game, in an NBA season he'll be the same terrible player IMO.

What I really like about Brockman is his mobility. He easily switches out onto the perimeter and he does a decent job at it.

This will be the real key -- if he can defend then he can get court time to get those rebounds we need. If he can't then he's a Madsen 12th man type.

dam.. Casspi needed 1 more rbd for double-double...
anywayz after this match the news in here are saying Sacramento asked from the NBA management and Fiba management to get to israel to make a preseason game against maccabi :) it whould be cool...

I actually can see the comparison...

Jason may not be as potent a scorer as LaMarcus but he is already a better rebounder. And I'm sure Jason can raise his scoring average to 15-18 a game if he really pans out. Tyreke Evans is better than any point guard Portland has. Kevin is like our "scoring only" version of Brandon Roy. Spencer is much more valuable than Pryzbilla. Noc > Martell Webster.

The difference between our teams actually is this... Brandon Roy is a clutch star... thats it. Brandon Roy can take the ball and win 40+ games a year on his own. If you replaced Kevin with Brandon Roy we would probably be where the Blazers are this year. I like Kevin alot and I'm not saying get rid of him, but I think we need to find a way to add "the star". Hopefully Tyreke can be that but I'm not going to get my hopes up.

Wow........no. Hey, at least our owners are optimistic. Still, they need a reality check.
