Collins is nowhere near an answer or worth his productivity in a winning sense, never has been, but at the very least he and Monk on the fast break would be freaking primetime television.

As stated my myself and others John Collins would be a great fit for this team. I like Len but having 2 spacers with Lyles and Collins off bench is very intriguing. + can play next to Sabonis. But honestly I don’t think people realize statistically at least how great Collins has been this year. He’s putting up all-star + numbers. Can you be add for just 1 or even 2 1st rounders?
18.1 ppg, 8.4 rpg, 2.5 app, 2.0 combined blocks/steals, 53/45/87 percentages. Just absurd all in just 29.8 mpg.
In what world is the player above worth just 1 1st rounder, let alone 2 late ones? + he's high character guy too.
Collins thrives with spacing so I think trying to keep Lyles is preferable. Ideal to keep Len also as main traditional big. Also Len’s best offensive season (where he shot 3’s) was with Collins in ATL, so the rapport is already there to be used in tandem sometimes.
Collibs defense isn’t great but Kings don’t necessarily need a 1 on 1 defender / beefier big, mainly need a guy with length / switch ability / some rim protection and Collins fits that enough up front in my opinion.

If we can't land John Collins, I'd love to see the Kings target Kelly Olynyk if he's available (and not give up Trey Lyles if possible).

I’d do Heurter for Wiggins. I think Wiggins could be good off the bench and still allow Keegan the starting spot. Not sure what it would cost.

that’s the issue is we just have one second. If Toronto likes Huerter they could do a straight up trade, no picks.
I feel like this team needs 4 things not necessarily in order:
1) size and length that can defend
2) shooting we currently have 2 better than good shooters (Sabonis/Keon) Doug doesn’t count since he rides the pine.
3 athleticism - a rim runner, pick in role type, offensive boards, better transition offense
4) backup to Sabonis. Someone that can still provide offense

I agree with you. Kelly O fits more of the playmaking that Sabonis has if he has to fill in for Domas than John Collins does so that'd be a plus, but I think Collins would really help out on the defensive end to help cover for Sabonis' deficiencies in that area. Keegan theoretically helps in the same way, but as you saw last night, when he's guarding out on the perimeter then he can't as easily provide rebounding/rim protection help.
If the Kings can't or don't make a trade, I'd like to see the team try some Sabonis/Trey/Keegan lineups to help when DeRozan is off the floor and Keegan is tasked with guarding perimeter players (Huerter has been his main sub lately, but looks like Christie is moving away from him more every game).

I’m certainly no trade expert, but would think Washington a trade partner that we wouldn’t have to give up 1st, Carter or Ellis to do business with. Kuzma‘s down year should improve on a better team.
Im not advocating Kuzma, but wouldn’t be all that surprised if it’s a direction we go. It would however depend on their willingness to take on Huerter, and a lesser contract, but not sure about his value and he’s not an expiring. Both players need that change of scenery and could pay off without sacrificing players that the Kings apparently want to keep.

I’m advocating for Kuzma by giving up Huerter and a couple second rounders even at his worst he’s better than Huerter and still gives us 30mph of playable basketball. We need to lower our starters minutes getting Kuzma and the fact that he’s a big wing helps. If you can get him to buy in and not be a negative defender and not a ball stopper than we’re good for what we give up. Lyle’s, Kuzma, and Keon is a decent to good bench.
I’ve watched the last three Kuzma games he isn’t taking bad shots like I thought he would and it’s clear he’d wanna be here there no reason to go up to Vivek like that in front of everyone.

My takeaway from the Wizards game was that Valanciunas should be on our radar, and Kuzma should not. And those numbers certainly don't change my view.
I mean yeah, he sucks. He was great 5 years ago off the bench for the Lakers championship run, but that's pretty much the only point in his career that showed him as a positive impact player.

Current Kevin Huerter except slightly bigger and with no self awareness whatsoever! Where do I sign up?
Huerter's struggled offensively, but he at least attempts to play defense, isn't actively trying to chuck up a 28% USG rate when he comes in the game and I'm pretty sure is a good locker room guy. I know I said I wouldn't "hate" the Huerter for Kuz swap, but I honestly think I would. I'd rather see what Isaiah Crawford is about than go to Kuz.
Good players still look like good players on bad teams. They're just amplified even more when they get to join a well run team/structure, etc. Jval is that sort of vet imo where he's someone that can really help a team in a playoff rotation.
