I don’t think it’s a bad move if true. Will probably be a lot cheaper and is a huge expiring. Bruce Brown is probably in that 6’4-6’5 range but plays a lot bigger.
We’re already a small team enough with the high plays bigger that doesn’t matter when you’re doing that at every position. We need a big wing enough is enough Keegan can’t can’t 37mpg defending every PF then SF

You’re not wrong. I would love a big wing that can hit 3s. Problem is there’s not many out there. I was just saying Brown wouldn’t be a bad consolation prize if he’s cheap.

Brett Siegel says we’re in on Bruce Brown if we don’t get a Cam Johnson deal done which is interesting because Bruce Brown is really good when healthy but the Kings literally drafted a younger potentially better version of his this summer.
He's a FA this summer and entirely gettable with the MLE. The Kings probably want to cut Huerters deal in this move. I wouldn't mind it, then the Kings have a nice little versatile G/F trio in the form of the Celtics with Brown, Keon, and Carter and if it didn't work, they at least cut some $$$ to safely use that MLE this summer in some other way. Maybe on someone like DFS or Portis.

This is the problem when people look at nothing but height. Remember, Brown started to get noticed because of his defense on big SF's like Durant and he played almost exclusively at PF with the Nets. Also, the Nuggets were entirely reliant on him being able to switch 4-5 positions defensively. He was probably the key reason the Nuggets won that year. He's like any other role playing defender, not worth big money. Look at Ben Wallace. For the right team, they help but you have to have the needs.

Oh man. This is it. Fully addresses our biggest weaknesses (back up wing, back up big) and won't break the bank. Works on the trade machine for huerter straight up. Add as many seconds as necessary.

Huerter as a buy-low probably makes the most sense for a rebuilding/bad team too. Like it for both sides
The problem is we have one second rounder. Don’t think they would take just Huerter and that do you?

I don't hate it - I'm not sure about Martin's wingspan, but he's certainly not "big-wing" size and he can't shoot, so he's not a be-all end-all there as a backup wing unless his D is miles better than Huerter's. Richards as a backup big is at least a rim protector, and maybe he's a better option than Len?

The problem if anything is that we send our best salary piece in Huerter to get some end of the rotation probably (?) upgrades that might be at a "rearranging deck chairs" level of impact. It's no disaster, but if there's a deal to be had where Huerter brings us back a legit upgrade, that's where I would want to look first.

But De’Aaron is better than Zion as is and doesn’t have near as many character/motor concerns or injury concerns. This isn’t taking a risk, this is dumping your life savings into Hawk Tuah Coin in the hopes that an act of god somehow makes it worth something.
I love Fox, but Zion is a top 10 player when he can play. Plus he is younger. Also Bigs are harder to acquire than guards.

Them knees ain’t younger though.

the dude is a liability on defense who is also afraid of shooting threes to a degree that he makes DeMar look like Steph Curry. He’s also injured so often that when you do build a team to play around him it doesn’t matter because he’s not around long enough for you to build any momentum.

I think Richard's is a pretty significant upgrade on Len. Hes shown he can handle a starting role and massively produce. Len has struggled this year to even show he's still NBA caliber.

I am irrationally high on Cody Martin though. Hes struggled with injuries, but anytime he's on the floor, he's an impact role player. He's a really great passer too, think he's thrive with Domas.

A deal like this is sort of the best case scenario to me in a Huerter trade. It's addressing 2 big needs with 2 good role players. Huerter career is obviously significantly higher than both, but we can't deny is tremendous season long shooting slump and that he's a "sell low" to make room for Carter

I think Zion is one of the few like Giannis where we wouldn’t want him shooting threes.

Giannis is the best defender in the league when he’s motivated though. He also plays more games than he missses.
Both true but Zion is a top 12 talent when he plays we will never be able to get a guy like that. Would you not want a true chance with him at winning a championship cause he has that ability especially if we’re paring him with fox. It’s a gamble but a gamble that’s worth it

We're not pairing him with Fox if we're trading Fox for him straight up.

If we were trading Huerter for Zion yeah I'm betting my house.
