He's not going to fix our defensive issues and we might as well trade Keegan at that point because he'll be getting even less shot attempts. Maybe Cam will course correct if he gets traded to a better team but he's looked like a chucker this season to me and going to a rudderless team with an interim coach and a disgruntled star doesn't feel like the best place for him to add structure and discipline to his game.
I think Avdija is too good to be a bench player. Quality starting role player. There are many teams who need a PF... like the Thunder. He would start for them and make them better, which would be bad for the rest of the West.
I guess the ideal PF next to Sabonis would be someone like Mobley or Jabari Smith Jr... but how do you trade for someone like that?

That's right around the value I had for DFS (multiple 2nd round picks). That's a real bummer that we didn't try to make something work but a lot of our available 2nd round picks are tied up due to the ATL trade which makes navigating such a deal a bit more complicated as you're needing to involve a 3rd team to make it work.
Let’s say we trade kev and trey and a first for cam. How does that starting lineup look you think? Malik back to bench and demar drops to sg. Or demar to bench

It’d a good question. If we bring Cam on I would probably look to move Deebo in a three way deal with Toronto. Then after giving Carter some time to work his way back in I’d go
Fox
Carter
Cam
Keegan
Domas
I doubt it plays out that way but that could be a fun team imo

Some people really don't understand the overall picture. Monte had to in order to make the DeRozan deal work. He didn't just salary dump them, lol. Now, all those people criticizing the run it back the year prior, yeah, that's why you don't go all eggs and let playoff results be ignored.
The Nets took 3 seconds over a top 17 protected Grizz pick in this upcoming draft. They preferred to take the Lakers deal nexus they didn’t want to take on salary

I think it would have to be a package centered around Huerter for salary purposes, and draft compensation or possibly Ellis as value. Of course, Huerter only has one fewer year on his contract, but I don't think we can put together any other deal that works financially and doesn't send off a core piece - the point being to not send off a core piece.

In the Kangz article ESPN did they said the kings looked into Brandon Ingram and Lavine before firing Mike. I wonder if they just made that up? We don’t have the salary to match either of those guys without including Deebo.

Well if there was a rift between DeRozan and Brown because he suggested having him come off the bench, perhaps Monte was first exploring trades that would send DeRozan out for another scorer/playmaker (Ingram, LaVine).

it’s possible but we could have had Lavine if Monte wanted him last offseason. I tend to think it’s crap info.
Brewing up any trades? I’m starting to wonder if we need to consider moving Kevin for a similar contract at a different position. Not necessarily a better player but someone that needs shooting and has extra bigs. A trade that doesn’t require additional picks. Probably someone that has at least one year left on their deal so that we still have the salary asset for a future trade. Gotta make playing time for Devin
We probably need to hold on to Lyles because he is likely better than the other options out there at that money.

And Lyles is coming off the books. With him off the books the Kings are pretty close to being able to comfortably be a full MLE team this next summer depending on what they get in the draft. There are some serious F options this next summer potentially in that MLE area including DFS.
