Playoff Update (Merged)

Grizz at Hornets - I definitely see the Grizzlies winning this after the way they lost their last two games.

Lakers at Sonics - Lakers played last night, Sonics are an improved team since they got their trade guys in, and are always tough at home. Doesn't mean it's a definite loss for the Lakers, but I'm giving the Sonics the edge here.

Jazz at Clippers - Clips get revenge from earlier this month.
1/3... Definitely a tough loss for the Grizz. Eddie Jones needs to get out of his mini-slump. Sonics had it going there, but let it go...

wow the hornets are choking away a good lead to toronto..i say this because there are 2 minutes left, and its tied, and they were up by almost 20 at one point.

I think the hornets play the pistons next. Pistons should take care of that one.

Us, OTOH, are heading to Texas to play Dallas and San Antonio back-to-back. I'm hoping we win at least 1.

GO KINGS!

Hornets do indeed play the Pistons next, Paul vs. Billups should be fun, and the Hornets lack of size will be taken advantage of by Detroit.

Paul had his 1st 3-double tonight, too

Spurs at Jazz - Jazz have played the Spurs well the past season or two, but don't see the Spurs losing this one, and will be too much for Utah.

if the kings could pull off the win tonight (i'm really hoping they do!!!), it could be a very very good night

if we are going to lose one of these games next, I would prefer it to be tonight. That would also help our first round matchup, If we end up 8th. The best case is Kings win both, which would make me very pleased. If the Kings can just go back to posting Artest, Our offense will be fine. Post Bonzi too, he has better vision out of the double, and SAR can post, but he NEVER passes out. Ever. But Artest can abuse Howard, Daniels, Powell, Stack, Bowen, Barry, Ginobli, Finley, or whoever else these two team wanna throw at him. GO KiNgS

Well, got both right, thankfully.

Jazz play at Wolves next, who lost to the Bobcats tonight. Hornets play the Warriors tomorrow in OKC.

I am predicting 11-6 March. You've heard it here first! :)

They will go 5-1 at home and 6-5 on the road.

At the end of March we will be 37-36, and a 8th seed.
WOOT! I was right :) Except they were 7-4 on the road, and 4-2 at home :(

I think we will finish 43-39, and 8th spot. I don't see the Lakers falling from 7th. They should finish with about 45 wins or so.

Blah, Warriors blew it in OT. Hornets win, and Paul gets his second triple double in the last 3 games.
Lakers final game is vs Hornets. What if it comes down to Sac needing the Lakers to win that game in order for the Kings to make the playoffs? That would be interesting.

looks like nuggets might pull away with the win.

things are looking great right now

just keep winning and everything will fall in place for the Kings

For some reason I had conceded the 7th seed to the Lakers... Yet the Lakers just got out of an intense up and down OT, and now they go play Phoenix on the road! Currently the Kings are only a game back!

the kings have to beat the clippers.... and the suns have to beat the lakers.... hopefully the clippers will be so pissed that they beat the lakers on sunday....

c'mon 7th seed...

go kings, go melo and patterson as well..... and hopefully nash, diaw and marion.....

Tonight:

Lakers at Suns - Suns will take advantage of a tired Laker team on the road.

Raptors at Hornets - Hopefully the Raptors win. :)

Jazz at Wolves - KG will be too much.

I think the Kings are in a position right now where they control their own destiny. The Lakers won't straight up win out, so that means if the Kings DO win out, they will have the 7th seed. Of course the Kings won't win out either, but it's a nice possibility to think about:).

i have been calling for a 7 game win streak all year. this is our only chance for that with the win in SA and 6 more games left this may indeed be the kings heeding to my call.

Got the one that mattered the most! Thank you Suns, despite Kobe scoring 51. ;)

Question:

THe Horents have 2 more games to play than us and are only 2 back of us in the loss column. If we lose 2 more (PLEASE NO!!) and they do not, who owns the tie break - providing we beat them at Arco? We are in different divisions, so does the conference record determine it? What if that is tied?

If we beat them, 2-2. Then it goes to the conference record, which we have the better by a number of games, same for division, which would be next, then home and road. I doubt it goes past conference record though.
