The fact that they have two more games to play than us is not a good thing for the Hornets...that's two more potential losses before they get to the point we're at now. We are in a great position, and if we win that NO game, none of it really matters, other than staying ahead of the Lakers. The games we were REALLY worried about are behind us...time to close out strong.

That 7 might become even more important if Dallas ends up with the 1st seed (they're now only 1 game back of the Spurs), since the Kings don't match up well at all with Dallas.

Guess what? Almost forgot that Hornets play at Dallas tomorrow... so

Tonight:

Hornets at Mavs - Mavs return home, and ride their big Spurs win to go over the Hornets. Both teams played last night.

Blazers at Jazz - Can the Blazers pull it off? Hopefully ;). Ultimately think the Jazz winning it though, despite playing last night also.

i was just thinking...if we end up in 7th we would face denver or memphis in the second round...that in itself is awesome..BUT..denver is only 2.5 games better then us, if somehow we can catch them in the last 5 games (probably impossible), we could have homecourt in the second round, which would be HUGEEEE...we need that 7th spot just for the fact that our second round matchup would be easier then our first, and we wouldnt have to face the spurs/mavs until WCF.

im a huge pessimist about the kings chances this year..but looking at the playoffs matchups...we have a shot to make the WCF, and perhaps perform an upset if we end up in 7th.

We have 2 games that WE SHOULD win (rox , sonics ) . 2 Games that are interesting (suns , hornets ) and at nuggets is very interesting , because the nuggets will nothing to play for really .

Our SHOULD win games ALWAYS make me the most nervous. We tend to blow those games. I am hoping that that tendency is out of our system now.

Damn it! He has a difficult season with all the injuries and now he's not even in possesion of his nickname. He's so sad. Be aware: he may play in that game if this board doesn't give him his nickname back. :p

What do you mean? They are officially in playoffs and probably trying to slip to №6. But they clinched Pacific and thus the second seed for Suns.

I meant what I said. Clips are going to be in the POs yeah, but I thought I read/heard that with their next win (2-game losing streak) they'd clinch the spot. Whatever, they (the announcers) said wrong.

Highly doubt their losing on purpose to slip to 6th.

Never mentioned anything about the Pacific division.

If I were him I'm not sure I'd want to be nicknamed after a steak sauce or breakfast cereal marketed to women trying to lose weight.... ;)

Do we know what the team calls him (team nickname, if he has one)? Has he said anything about a nickname publically?

Just wish we could come up with something more, well, manly, for lack of a better word. This guy looks like he could be a stud on the floor in a few more years.

Special K was his nickname before he came to the Kings...

I don't think the players are as invested in nicknames as the fans and the media. They know who they are. ;)

News10 had an opening a couple of weeks back that talked about Kevin as the high-flying fighter, K-23. I kind of like that one.

The right nickname will come along eventually. I personally think we'll all just be glad if, no matter what nickname is used, it's followed by "starring shooting guard for the Sacramento Kings."

in other words, the kings should be going all the way. suns? easy win. nuggets/grizz in round 2? please...kings in 4. kings/spurs in WCF? kings would kill em. kings/pistons....sweep.

one game at a time means nothing.

Tonight:

Cavs at Hornets - Cavs and LeBron are on a sweet roll right now heading into the POs, and I expect them to continue it against a near-thin-ice Hornets team.

Rockets at Jazz - This should be the ugliest game of the year ;). Rockets on the 2nd of a back-to-back, hopefully Yao/Alston/Head have big games and win :p.
