Hansbrough easily.
If you could only chose DeJuan Blair or Tyler Hansbrough at 23.........who would you rather have?
or could it be a way of insuring VCU sensation and true PG Eric Maynor goes to Kings. Nearly all mock drafts have him around #13-20.
Hansbrough definitely..
Blair's knees are shot..
OK.. This is what I think will happen..
1. If Rubio, Flynn, and Evans are available we take Rubio
2. If Flynn, Harden, and Evans are available we take Flynn.
I do not see the Kings taking Evans, Thabeet, or Harden if they are available at 4th, and they only take Flynn if Rubio is not there. They definitely take Rubio if he is.
Don't know man.. I have been getting some weird vibes the last couple days too.
My list on who I DON'T want here in Sacramento is as follows..
1. Evans
2. Thabeet
3. Curry
4. Harden
5. Hill
That basically Leaves Griffin, Rubio, and Flynn.. We aren't getting Griffin and if Rubio is gone my list just consists of Flynn.
From everything I've read. From every interview I've listened to, including both Petrie interviews and the Jerry Reynolds interview, and the fact that Evans simply dominated in every workout. It is my belief that if he's available at 4, the Kings will pick Evans. I like Flynn, I like Rubio, and I like Evans. I'll be happy with any of them. But I think the Kings like Evans.
I know you don't like him, but that doesn't mean the Kings won't pick him. They've picked players before without discussing it with me. Hard to believe, I know. My personal choice is between Evans and Rubio. I will admit to being torn. They both bring something that the Kings need. So here's how I look at it. I think that at the NBA level, Evans can do some of what Rubio does best. Certainly not at the same level, and not with the same flair. But non the less, he can do some of it.
At the same time, I think Rubio will have a hard time doing what Evans does best. Evans is just a more physcial player. So I'm leaning toward Evans. But I could be wrong. Damm! Its a really hard decision...
We agree! I also would be thrilled with either Rubio or Evans but I just have a feeling I'm going to be disappointed tomorrow. I think it will go:
1. Griffin
2. Thabeet
3. Rubio
4. Flynn
5. Evans
I really want Evans over Flynn but I think GP will pick Flynn.

I just don't see how Rubio fits in with OKC. Now they have a backcourt where both players need the ball in their hands a lot and neither one can shoot. This also gives less possessions initiating the plays for Durant, who's a pretty darn good scorer too. I think it's a bluff by Presti to try to get a team like Minnesota or us to trade up with them.
I really hope you are right. I think they would be better off with Evans/Curry/Harden than Rubio.

This may have been mentioned before but has anyone seen ESPN the Mags Mock Draft where a player from each team makes the pick. At #3 for the Thunder Russell Westbrook picks Harden and they ask him about the possibility of Rubio and his answer was "your tripping". I just don't know how that would go over with that team if they take Rubio. Either way I am looking forward to tomorrow (well I guess its today now)
im happy that most of us are excited but im going to try my best not to get too excited about all of this. I know our luck sucks so i'll just hope for the best and expect the worst.
I agree. If Rubio and Evans are gone by #4 who else? Thabeet - I seriously doubt it and hope not. Flynn - I know some Kings brass are enamored - but at #4!? Curry seems most likely and I would not be all that upset - just a bit peeved that it all went down this way. Only thing that could help make up for all of it would be swapping #23 and #31 for #15.
I'd do that deal.
I liked blair before I found out how bad his knees were.
I would love to grab earl clark with that pick .. or Terrence Williams.

JENNINGS SLIDING?: As the candidates woke to draft day, the player sliding out of the lottery appeared to be point guard Brandon Jennings, who bypassed his freshman year of college in order to spend last season with the Euroleague club Lottomatica Rome of Italy.
By my count, the only top-10 teams considering Jennings are the Knicks at No. 8 and the Bucks at No. 10, and Jennings is unlikely to go to either of them unless one or more trades change the order of the draft.
The smart move would be to take Jennings out of the green room, but Jennings and agent Bill Duffy had yet to meet as of Thursday morning. I'm sure Duffy will remind Jennings that the order of the draft is meaningless; what matters is that he joins a team that is happy to have him and therefore invests in developing him.
A lot of star players in the NBA -- Paul Pierce, Caron Butler and Rajon Rondo among them -- talk about how being snubbed in the draft was the best thing that happened because it turned them into underdogs and inspired them to work all-out to prove themselves. Say that Jennings winds up in Philadelphia at No. 17, as he might -- he'll be with an up-tempo team that suits his style, and the team will want to help him show the rest of the league that he was a steal so late in the draft.
It's funny how it works, but Jennings may have more fans rooting for him as a low pick than he would as a top-10 choice, because if he were to go high in the draft then he would be expected to play well immediately -- and very few players in this draft will meet that standard. -- Ian Thomsen
Perhaps this is why they want to get closer to #10.
