Offer: #23+#31 for #15?

#1
-Sacramento has reportedly offered Detroit the #23 and #31 picks in exchange for the #15. The Kings may target DeJuan Blair at 15 if he’s available, while the Pistons like Toney Douglas and possibly DaJuan Summers.
Just back from reading blog updates on DX. Seems like we offered the 23 and 31 for Detroit's #15, supposedly because we are interested in Dejuan Blair. IMO only positives can be gained from that draft spot. Blair or Clark anyone? I'd really like for this to happen, if you couldn't tell.

Nice,

I wouldnt mind this happening at all.

Blair could be a beast for us off the bench...If his knees hold up at least.

I really can't imagine that the Kings are interested in Blair.

But could this ibe a sign they might be trying to trade up to the #13-#16 range to draft a PG (Teague/Lawson) in anticipation of taking Evans at #4?

To be honest, I'm just excited we are in talks at all around draft day.

Co-sign!

I think Petrie might actually make a few moves this draft. I'm excited for tomorrow.

And maybe this is to nab a PG if we take Evans. I could even see us taking Harden with #4, strictly because there has been NO talk of us being interested in him. We all know how GP rolls.

LOL im am with you

I am like nbrans. take evans at 4 then maybe have choice of Teague, Lawson, and Maynor at #15. That would be sweet.

then pick up 3 undrafted guys with potential that are over 6'10 and have blocked a shot before. invite them to camp and roll with it.

As far as I know, the Kings' didn't work out any PGs in that range, at least they didn't bring one to Sactown. They may have seen some of them at a pre-draft camp though. But the Kings may be trying to reach for Collison, Mills, or Douglas; who did worked out for the Kings.

I remember Sam Young and James Johnson as the only two non PG in that range who worked out for the Kings in Arco.

It probably doesn't mean anything.

Yah I was watching him out of high school, and even though he pretty much slipped from top ranked Freshman to middle of the pack I would still take a chance on him... Before last year he was the #1 ranked Freshman.

Mullens that is.

Too good to be true - fingers crossed. Kings need a good luck break somewhere, somehow - and this move if completed could be it. Evans as BPA after Griffin goes to Kings and then a true, a prue PG at #15. Maynor pleeezzzz! Holiday - maybe. Then all out search in FA mkt or via trades for help on the boards - YES!

Possible. Definitely possible. Of course if you are taking Evans AND another PG, then does that really mean Kevin is on the block?

Also consider that JT + Cisco for #2 rumor earlier? Well I said that probably only made sense if one of the guys we got was a big. Either a) we draft Thabeet + Evans, and then you have #15 to go after maybe Clark to replace Cisco. Or you really do draft 2 little players, and then use #15 to get Blair to plug the hole at PF. Of course our replacement PF is 6'7" in that scenario and even Geoff has to be tired of stubby PFs, but it is interesting.

I know its not your intent. But I find it odd that Greene gets left out of discussions when it comes to SF. He would be the best SF in this draft and possibly a top 5 pick overall. I say this because of the Clark statment. OOOOOOr do you see Greene as more of the backup PF guy with spot min at SF?

Who knows, a willingness to move Cisco could be a willingness to play Donte. But he showed so little last year that I rarely take him into acc9ount at all wihile tryign to figure out what we are doing. I don't see how oyu can gameplan around him being your guy. Best you can do is leavve the door open a crack in case he wants to come on through.

And no, I think he's a SF not another one of our ridiculously soft out of position tweeners.

if that happens we could either draft mullens or maynor...

4th and 15th for 2 :D

Then you have basically just traded your 4th, 23rd and 31st to get that #2. And no thanks. We can't fix ourselves with one pick in this draft. Not this draft.

Why do I get the feeling we are going to draft curry?

Don't know man.. I have been getting some weird vibes the last couple days too.

My list on who I DON'T want here in Sacramento is as follows..

1. Evans
2. Thabeet
3. Curry
4. Harden
5. Hill

That basically Leaves Griffin, Rubio, and Flynn.. We aren't getting Griffin and if Rubio is gone my list just consists of Flynn.

heres a crazy idea..

4th and 15th for 2nd and 27th... thats a big jump for memphis other first rounder.. they can snag tyler or blair... we pick rubio and some other dude..

I agree. If Rubio and Evans are gone by #4 who else? Thabeet - I seriously doubt it and hope not. Flynn - I know some Kings brass are enamored - but at #4!? Curry seems most likely and I would not be all that upset - just a bit peeved that it all went down this way. Only thing that could help make up for all of it would be swapping #23 and #31 for #15.

I wonder how far Jrue Holiday will fall. Is it possible that he could fall to that 15th spot? If the Kings selected Holiday and Thabeet, it would go a long way to improving their defensive woes...
