Future HOF - IMHO, of course - Tracy McGrady and Yao Ming. Granted I don't particularly like McGrady but I suspect he'll make it to the hall eventually. Yao is pretty much a lock, against IMO.
IMO, I don't think McGrady gets in. He's a good player that just seems to be hurt way too often. I guess if he comes back and has some huge years my opinion might change.

I think that Yao has a better chance at getting in than McGrady, but again, it will depend on Yao's future health. I don't think he's done nearly enough yet to warant HOF talk.

I agree with you on Mutombo...He is a lock!

Oh, believe me. I wouldn't shed a tear if he never got in.

I think he'll get in partially because of the international impact - first Chinese player to actually compete and succeed in the NBA, etc.

Ya, I could definitely see that. I like Yao and his game. He's a class act.

Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiick.

He has the Rockets inspired. Talent wise, the Lakers are leagues ahead of the roster Adelman has to work with...And yet...

I hope the scrappy Rockets dont get the yips again in LA. I want game 7 to be a GAME 7.

Regardless what happens now, the depleted Rockets are one helluva story. If they beat LA and advance to WCF it will be worthy of sports story of the year. Still, I'm beginning to think Nuggs are so well balanced, so much tougher than the Lakers - they should be favored in possible LA-Denver match-up. Meanwhile, I gotta make sure to remember game 7 of Houston-LA is 12:30 PTS on Sunday sports fans.

I know its a "team" sport. But losing 2 out of last 3 to a highly depleted Rockets team. No TMAC, no Yao Ming, no Mutumbo. Playing 6'6" centers. How can kobe be compared to MJ? I just don't see this happening to any dominate player in history that had a good championship talent team.

The Rockets deserve all the credit for playing so well and so hard, but really, a lot of it has to be the lakers underachieving.

NBA will take care of game 7. Early foul trouble for the Rockets few "big man" they have left. la wins comfortably. Not sure yet how they will rob Nuggets in the WCF but they just have to because Billups vs Fisher will be a genocide (I clearly lack a better word here). Mr. Stern will have to work hard to get his dream finals.

P.S.

Rockets are an awesome team but will not win it all because they just can not stay healthy. Sounds familiar - doesnt it ?

Yeah, Lakers will win handily on Sunday. Been hilarious to see them getting smacked around by a depleted Rockets team though...

It is, and that's undeniable. The Lakers are probably going to win game 7, but they've gotten really beaten twice by a Rockets team that has no Yao or McGrady. Yes, they've played great but the Lakers are supposed to be the favorite to win the title and yet they can't even come close to matching their intensity in those two games. They should not be getting beaten this bad and I'm really starting to doubt their ability to win it all, before I thought they had a great chance at it but they're showing huge signs of mental weakness, and the weridest thing is that they were showing great fortitude in last year's playoffs, and while there were problems in the finals I thought they did better than people give them credit for. I think the Bynum injury is pretty big, now they don't Bynum at 100% physically or mentally, and since Odom has been back and forth between starting and the bench he doesn't have the great chemistry with Pau like he did last year.

so in other words, your saying i should put a large amount of money on the lakers for game 7? ;)

TNT did some thing on how Rick's career would be like without phil jackson. If I were adelman I'd curse Jackson for somehow always coming out on top, fairly or not.

id put my whole pay check on it, we all know how much the commissioner wants lebon kobe final

Indeed, as obviously that is the only possible way the Lakers could beat Houston in a Game 7 on their home floor.

The whole NBA conspiracy thing is so played at this point. So lazy. Nothing more than an excuse for any result which somebody doesn't like.

Bynum has been detrimental to this team. He gives them nothing, and I quite franky have to wonder if he even wants to be out there. He has lead feet, and looks lost on offense. He just tries to stay out of Pau's way. It's freaking sad. I also think Kobe doesn't know what to do... He's got such a better team than before, so he's wondering whether he should turn into 50 pt Kobe or try to keep these guys involved. No way in hell he throws out to Ariza for the 3 when he's already halfway to the rim three years ago. I hope the Rockets come out swinging. Ron, work your magic baby.

true but it's still not played out yet until the Kings get the #1 pick in this year draft. Otherwise the conspiracy lives on. ;)

wow! kudos to the Rockets and Rick Adelman! pushing the Lakers in 7 games. Rockets may not win the series but i'm just glad for them playing at this level against a complete Lakers team although Bynum and Odom arent' themselves lately. Lakers will be banged up forsure ifever they make it through the West and will surely have a hard time beating the Cavs..not a Cavs fan but mostlikely they'l sweep whoever comes out of the Boston/Magic series.

Also, i'm so happy for Rick and Artest. Although i really hate it when the ball moves and gets to Artest it never goes back, it's either it's a great tough shot or a stupid brick from Artest. But anyway, to me without Artest this Houston team won't have that swagger/confidence in them. Also, i'm thinking Spurs are kicking themselves for letting go of Scola..
