Rockets can't keep this up, when things start to get chippier the guards for the Rockets will start to over dribble, Lakers won't be down this much for long...

if this is how the lakers will play the entire playoffs idoubt they will get past the nuggets....

shows how good a coach rick adelman is whos the idiot who let him go anyways? *cough* maloofs

Broadcasters calling out the refs for once?? WOW.

For who?

Oh that's right, the star of the documentary their channel is airing tomorrow...

Spare me. Someone please cut their mics.

Hall of Famer
Lakers will win in 7, but they are getting exposed by the Rockets as the soft and lazy team that they are.

I want the Thuggets to beat them up in the western finals.

ESPN ceased to have any credibility in my book a very long time ago... I was watching the game for a while - muted - and found it much more enjoyable. I have eyes, I can see what's going on. I don't need the prattle or blather from the speakers...

GO ROCKETS!!!!!

It was a terrible call peeps -- it displays our bias, not theirs, to be upset at someone calling it for what it was.

Actually I am not sure what the foul was they called on Artest either, but that T was just flat out acting. Not sure whether it was worth it either, since Ron ceded the moral high ground with that and went from victim to victimizer. But if they win by 1 it certainly will have been.

I love how the commentators get so angry that Kobe gets a technical, but they don't even mention that Ron shouldn't have even gotten a foul there.

Edit: Why does it always happen that someone posts what I say right before I post it?

What happened to Bynum? I haven't been watching many of the games, but his playoff stats are terrible. Wasn't he supposed to be a franchise center or something?
Anyways...if the Lakers get pushed to a game 7 against a Rockets team that's missing T-Mac and Yao, I don't think that bodes very well for them.

Oh I agree it was a terrible call, I just couldn't take the ESPN Kobe homerisms.

A standing ovation to Coach Rick Adelman. He's done the impossible so many times people tend to overlook just what he's done for this Rockets team - with two future HOFers sitting in street clothes on the bench.

The Lakers had best come out guns a-blazing back at Staples for game 7. If they don't pay attention, or act as though they don't have to do much because they've got home court advantage, they could easily be the ones sitting at home while the Rockets face off against the Nuggets.

Damn...

I love this game.

Who are the "Hall of Famers" you are speaking of?

Future HOF - IMHO, of course - Tracy McGrady and Yao Ming. Granted I don't particularly like McGrady but I suspect he'll make it to the hall eventually. Yao is pretty much a lock, against IMO.

If you prefer, I could easily take away the "future HOFer" phrase since that wasn't actually the point I wanted to make. The Rockets suffered a significant loss when Yao broke his foot. While I actually think the Rockets are better matched against this current Laker team without him - especially with the fantastic Andrew Bynum back in purple and gold - I think it's a tribute to Houston and to their belief in Adelman that they're still out there playing.

It's about heart - and desire - and heart - and determination - and heart. You know, the things the Lakers don't seem to possess.
