Same one I watched. Curry was terrible, as he often is against us.
What was odd was that the two were only sporadically matched up. the Warriors chose to guard IT with Klay Thompson(?)
I see that quite a bit, and I think it's a combination of IT and Gay really not understanding each other's game yet (I sometimes forget Gay wasn't here at the beginning of the season) and a total lack of communication among any/all of the players. Rudy actually talked on the court when he first arrived but I think he quit because it felt like he was doing something wrong or something...
I've always respected your opinions and do so even more now that you're part of the grading consortium and we get to see how your mind works, so to speak. I agree about some of the comments being misguided and I'll own up to most likely making some of them myself. At times it is so incredibly frustrating, partially because of the idolatry of Grant and Jerry. A balanced view of IT would be great, but I just don't see it happening.
I have a lot of respect for IT and what he's been able to accomplish thus far in his career. And I say that as someone who has been vertically challenged her entire life. BUT I am tired of hearing IT talk about learning to make plays, be a better point guard, etc. and then see him resort to the same hero ball tendencies night after night after night.
I like seeing IT/Gay/Cousins on the court because I think they can be a successful combination as time goes by if needs be. Unfortunately, it just hasn't happened as much as it could have because of turnips (I refuse to use the I word).
For me, at least, a lot of times I feel obligated to balance out the IT worship by some with a little bit of reality.

How was he terrible? He had an off shooting night for sure, especially for being Steph Curry. 5/14. BUT he had 8ast and zero turnovers which is exactly what you want from a PG. and he made the plays down the stretch to put the game away and got his team the win.........
You seem to be hung up on the assist to turnover ratio but totally ignore the rest of the stat line.
I am not some IT fan boy but he was pretty good offensively tonight. Agian, he wasn't perfect but he was pretty good and certainly not deserving of 1/4 of the criticism that he received here tonight.
Well, that just reads like you're setting up an experiment that's designed to fail. You seem to be saying that you will not be satisfied unless you can be shown a discussion thread which demonstrates a 1:1 criticism post ratio between Gay and Thomas. And there are two reasons why this experiment is going to fail:
- Gay and Thomas do not have the same roles on the team, and are not being judged on the same criteria.
- When Gay does get criticized, there are not anywhere between 3-15 Gay fanboys (NPI) who pop up, like somebody shined the goddamned Bat-Signal, to say, "Yeah, but..."

IT was forceful, if erratic, after half. Curry's numbers were completely empty after the first.
And yet, at the beginning of the Warriors coverage post-game summary, they waxed poetic about the great job the Curry-Thompson tandem did. Perception is reality I guess.
What are you talking about? The only occurrence of the word "scapegoat" I see in this thread, aside from the post I just quoted, came from a poster who was agreeing with you.

They will wax poetic about that tandem every night no matter what they do. If we ever catch Jerry sharing a sleeping bag with IT, those two will be right on the other side of the campfire with their own crushes.
Not sure why people didn't notice this, but Jimmer was obvious still under the weather tonight. They showed him a few times on the bench and he was blowing and wiping his nose both both times. When playing, he looked lethargic with no energy. So it didn't surprise me when he didn't play the second half.
On a side note, I caught the pre-game and in-game interviews with Malone and Pete D, respectively. They both mentioned they wanted to start seeing and evaluating more of the younger guys the 2nd half of the season like Ben, Ray, and Derrick - not mentioning Jimmer at all.
After hearing these interviews, I would be very surprised if Jimmer is still here after tomorrow.

The moderators consistently overstep. It's frustrating and obnoxious but some people just need to control everything.
Nobody's keeping you here. If you don't like how this forum is run, feel free to click on the "x" in the upper right of your tab.
There are sites with moderators who do almost nothing, and others where the moderators run a tight ship. But if you're complaining about the moderation here, then you've never seen *bad* moderators.

I just wanted that dude to know he's not the only one who has occasional moderator issues. It's mostly fine, I can imagine much worse.

There are some people for whom any moderation of any kind would constitute "moderator issues." Some people feel that moderators should, essentially, just be bots; that we should only be here to merge threads, and move posts, and delete spam, and otherwise be silent. Some people feel like moderators should not be allowed to express any opinions of any kind, because they can't compartmentalize between "X the poster" and "X the moderator," and they assume that we can't, either. On the flip side, there are some people who look at all of the infighting, particularly all of the debate over Thomas, and think that we're not moderating nearly enough.
Some long-time members have stopped posting because they feel we're too controlling. And some long-time members have stopped posting because they feel that we allow people to get away with too much. We're not here to please them; strictly speaking, we're not here to please anyone. Everybody has a different opinion on how a "good" moderator should be; no matter how we are, there are going to be some people who think that we're doing it wrong. I guess we just have to live with that.

That's a grossly exaggerated statement. The way I see it (and I’m an outsider who has been censored on one or two occasions by a mod for things that I felt weren’t necessarily out of bounds)…. is that the moderation philosophy here is one that is put in place to try to keep conversations within certain bounds / focus. This isn’t 4chan, and there are plenty of sites that have a different philosophy.
The moderators don’t always do a perfect job, but should you expect more? Do you agree with every call a ref makes, or are refs just control freaks intent on imposing their will on everyone else?

That, kind sir, is extremely personal.
Telling everyone who ever speaks ill of moderators to take a hike may not be personal to you but it shows a total lack of respect for the persons's opinion. That is consistent, with you in particular.
And a moderator is allowed to post his/her opinion. If you were not directly warned about a particular post, or receive an infraction, most moderator posts are just that, posts. I was a poster here a long time before becoming a moderator. Becoming a moderator doesn't stop me from being a fan or having opinions. You seem to not grasp that concept.
There are/were certain posters here who I frankly think/thought are/were idiots. But if they just express an opinion and do it within the bounds of the site "rules", I am not going to come down on them as a "moderator" even if I post a disagreement with their opinion.
