The difference is that Keon knows he’ll play each night without a random DNP and won’t get pulled for a simple mistake or two. Playing with freedom and without having to look over your shoulder >>> the confusing crap Mike was pulling this past season.
Yeah say whatever about minutes and DNPs, even when he was forced into starting last season I don't recall him having a green light to shoot. That is huge because he isn't "just a defender".

Hard to tell whether he didn't have the full green light, or was just not confident in taking closely contested 3's. Even this season, he had turned down some open looks when a guy was within getting to reaching distance of him.

He looks a lot more confident now and is making some contested shots. A big part of that is having a coach that believes in him and wants him to take open shots....and won't hold it against him if a mistake happens

If Brown wanted it it's strange he seemed to pull him after a "bad" shot. I'm just glad that this no longer seems to be an issue with the team.

Would be interesting to know what his numbers would look like, if he hadn't touched the line as much as he has this season
He seems to have done it, what, about 10 times? Maybe 20 tops? He has 797 points on the season so far, so In the grand scheme of things another 10-20 points would be pretty much in the noise. No idea how it would affect his percentages, but presumably he misses toe-on-the-line shots at about the same rate as toe-clean shots.

From what I've seen, he does it more than anyone else in the league. Many complain about him not being a 3pt shooter, so even if relatively small, it could change perspective a bit, if added to his attempts

Last 10 we're 9-1. Best record in the NBA. Why are we arguing about backup centers again?
It's trading season. Can't really improve our starters or back up guards much, unless you don't want to roll with the rookie for some reason. However we can get significant gains from our front court depth, but criticizing Len or Lyles is blasphemy to some people.
