That makes a ton of sense. Id really like to see more backside action leading to our scorers having the ability to attack a late close out. Right now it seems the action happens with the ball handler and the backside sits elbow three and corner 3 more often than not... (i do see some backside action just would like more/more complex stuff) I noticed the opponent defense is in enough in position to close and still cut off the drive. Im hoping you are right about the offseason and improvement chemistry improvement. I jusy want the ball to move like poetry again lol
That is exactly what we are trending into. Next season, the veterans will be even older, and we don't have fresh blood to step in. There are teams out there younger and better than us but the owner won't rebuild. I don't know what to expect from this team honestly.
Fultz looked good only positive tonight.
Fultz looked really good. Good size, athletic, good handles, high bbiq. I think he will see plenty of floor time onwards. Cause more than half of Kings offensive possessions after "reshape" was utter train wreck.
Can we really say this with such strident certainty?Taking on LaVines 40M contract for next year and the year after was a bad move. Just letting Fox sit and moving in the summer was a better play.
But we’ve seen this team be good with Keon at the 2 so I think there is hope but yeah the way it has been constructed that isn’t happening. It doesn't matter how good your team is offensively when your defense is so bad that you're giving up practice quality shots to the other team 50% of the time.
This team is in trouble for sure. I don't think it's an issue of who is starting or how the minutes are distributed. They are just completely flawed at the core.

Fox maintains he didn’t demand a trade. Maybe that’s semantics, but probably semantics that the players association would be happy to litigate. You think the post Brown firing, pre trade rumbling good vibes come back with a grievance process going on in the background? Do you think the Kings get better offers this summer for 1 year of Fox on a contract telling the world he’ll only sign in San Antonio?
Dude was given the golden key to tank by trading fox and derozan saying he’d want out. Tank out pick and get the hawks picks dudes but no let’s chase the 9th seed. If only we had evidence that derozan and Lavine don’t work

I stated not paying 40M for LaVine was better than just sitting Fox. I didn’t state what other options might have been better than just sitting Fox as I don’t have those alternatives. But Fox for Ingram would have been better in my opinion.
here are our numbers for when Keon started
Offense Defense. Net
117.8. 108.7 9.0
here are the numbers with LaVine
Offense Defense. Net
114.3. 120.2. -6.0
Would I like more games? Sure but it seems pretty definitive to me. Lavine doubles (triples) down on what we do well while doing the same on what we do poorly. So he adds a little on offense and kills us on defense. All while tying up our cap for a couple more years.
it was yet another brain dead trade and asset management.
Why would NOP trade for Fox when A. They have a huge investment in Murray and B. Fox said he's only resign with the Spurs.
I swear, some of you just make crap up to try and act superior on a damn kingsfan forum. It's weirs
The problem isn’t one player, it’s the team. We have talent, just not that fits together. Christie really needs to shuffle the lineups.
Show me where the ATL picks were on the table. Show me any evidence where Vivek would be fine with a 3 year rebuild. Show me any evidence of any sort of leverage we had after Fox screwed us and said he would only resign with SAS
it’s always everyone’s fault but Monte’s with you.
The Levine trade was an awful trade for this roster:
A) tripled down on what you already had
B) made you worse in an area you were already weak
C) blocked a key player who did help and your new rookie, whom you personally raved about, from getting any playing time.
Because they were a) about to lose BI for nothing and b) Murray is not on their correct timeline.
this wasn’t exactly a Kings ransom for BI..
Raptors sent Bruce Brown, Kelly Olynyk, a 2026 first-round pick and a 2031 second-round pick to New Orleans for Ingram on Feb. 6.
I’m not saying such a deal was possible. I was saying letting Fox sit and get his hand healthy and see what better offers you could get was better than taking on that Levine contract.
I could say the same to you, bud. It's always Montes fault and no one else's with you
Also, I rated this trade a 5.5/10 right after it happened. Hardly a ringing endorsement
Christie held a meeting with the starting five after the game, calling what he saw “unacceptable”. The first game after the break. Ouch.
