[Game] Kings V. Bulls - 2/3/14 - 7 p.m. PST

I agree. I saw a lot of forced shots and a few plays showing a low bball iq but not sure that his play making ability for his teammates and himself is no where anywhere near ITs
We're talking about Jimmer here, right? That's a decent description of number of his mins out there.

Very pleased with the 1st half. Was worried IT Iverson would rear it's ugly head with Boogie back. Wasn't the case at all. He deferred to him and Gay and picked his shooting spots extremely well. 15 points, 8 shots, 2 asts, 2 rbs. Played good D. This is the IT I wholly support as a starter. Let's hope it continues in the 2nd half

Cousins makes a HUGE difference out there, having Gray out there for 30 minutes makes you appreciate Cousins so much. Makes the game easier for everybody. How he's not an all star is absurd, he should take Kobe's spot.

I don't know if IT's shot selection has been all that much better tonight, but his efficiency is obviously better.

On pace for 16 shots, not 26. He's also on pace for 42(!) minutes, so 16 isn't as big as 16 sounds. Still, Malone needs to give him a longer break.

IT. 15 points on 8 shots. I think that tells the story of he game pretty well.
If we got this Isaiah every night. I wouldn't come down him as much. Half of those shots came with cuz or gay or both on the bench. That's how it should work. I'd like him to create for others a little more though

I think there was a stat I saw on the correlation between wins and limited shots from IT. Maybe someone can figure out our record with 18+ shots and less then 18

Is it just me or does it seem like DeMarcus always follows up big first quarters with pretty much nothing in the 2nd?

it's like oh wow he has 12pts 9reb in the first, he is going to have a huge half! and then he has 13pts 9reb at half time lol

I think it's more of him becoming a "decoy" of sorts. Defenses have to adjust everything to slow him down when he goes off. Which in turn, opens up easy shots opportunities for Gay and IT. Would rather let those guys shoot good shots than force it into double teams with DeMarcus

Also - I think Quincy Acy is getting better? I mean, he was always this hustle type Brockman clone, but it feels like it's been having a bigger impact on the game lately.

I'd say so. He's really developing into a strong rebounder and improving defensively. Tonight alone, he's had several great defensive plays on Gibson and Boozer

With Rudy and Cuz he doesn't necessarily need to be a playmaker. What we need out of the PG spot is defense and general roleplayerness. And honestly I would take someone who wasn't able to make plays for himself over a guy like IT who pretty much struggles to not make plays for himself.

Derrick Fisher was never really a great playmaker but he was a great roleplayer. Would I want him running my team? No. Would I want him next to a couple of high usage players like Cuz and Rudy? Yes.
but it's not just Cuz and Rudy on this team. I don't mind him at all, but yesterday many people were quick to say he was better than IT from the limited amount of minutes he played. A prime Derrick Fisher would be the perfect player on this team. He didn't have to do much at all because they had Kobe.. Kobe was the main ball handler in that Laker team. Fisher has always been a low usage player...Ray isn't and that's the difference.

Um, that was then. This is now. People's opinions change, especially on a forum.

Here.. Month of January

IT 18 or more shots record 0-6, 17 or less, 5-10

For December

18 or more shots, 0-3, less than 17, 6-13

Kings haven't won a single game when IT has shot 18 or more shots all season

Jerry says. "Iasiah was the best person on the floor." I thought Cuz was good, too with 11 points and 9 rebounds. Why, Jerry, why? IT was good and that I don't deny at all. Still there is a whole team on the court and as team play is the goal of the coach, let's give credit to the team or at least look for someone new.

The frustrating thing with Quincy is that, while Landry IS probably a better player (when he's right) .. he isn't 6 million dollars better. What Landry gives you on offense, Acy likely gives you on defense and on the glass.

Yeah the announcers cause a lot of the IT. Backlash.
