[Game] Kings @ Cavaliers - 2/19/12

Is it just me or is Salmons the one who is always taking (and missing i might add) the 3pt shot that would put us over the hump and lead to the victory. He's made maybe two of them this year but he's missed probably 6 or 7. I really don't understand why he is in the game right now.
This. And it happened again a few minutes later.

Ladies and gentlemen... welcome to the dumbest team in the NBA, where creative ways of losing are found each and every night. If you enjoy no progress for years and constant dumb mistakes and excuse after excuse you have come to the right place.

I was trying to watch the game on my phone and am a bit confused. Can someone tell me wtf happened during the last 4 seconds...

The lack of bb iq on this team is incredible. They never would have had a chance if we just kicked the ball back out or called a TO on that Salmons miss. Then Tyrekes stupid foul, one that is NEVER called in every other game in NBA history. Were losing to some really ****ty teams right now.

Okay, wait. WTF??????? Freaking figures. Thanks to the officials for a great last second bailout.

Not a bailout. He didn't move his feet, then reached around Irving. That'll get called every time. It even looked like a wrapup. Like Tyreke thought we were down one or something, or had a foul to give. You can only put that on Evans.

um...no

That was a boneheaded foul by Evans. You don't just stay static while a man drives past you and wrap him with your right arm.

That was a stupid foul with 0.4 seconds whether he thought there was a foul to give or not.

Not sure if I can blame the refs on that call. Cough it up as a mental lapse by Reke and move on to the next game.

We are losing to such bad teams because we are even worse. I don't know how you guys that live in Sacramento can stand this, I would be trying to hunt down the Maloof brothers and have a few words (to say the least) about the garbage they like to put out

Except next game is facing Miami - EEK! Maybe if it was Charlotte I'd have some hope but not with this dumb Kings team. If we don't get a W againt Washington at the end this will be one of the most disasterous roadtrips in an long, long time.

I'm getting ready to start hunting down Kings fans myself. If there even are legitimate ones anymore. ;)

I fell liek my hihg school coach saying "suck it the **** up" all the time.

Youngest team in the league = make the most mistakes in the league. Pretty much the way it works.

We've got a distinct M.O. at this point with bad teams. We largely play the bad teasm even on the road, but find ways to lose. We beat them at home. We get killed by the good teams on the road. Play them competitive at home. If that pattern holds we shoud get ruined in Miami, and then, assuming long road trip/All Star break blues do not take hold, be back in a toght one agian vs. Wash.

I really don't think we are a worse team. We are just incredibly underachieving and stupid. Marcus Thorton needs to get more consistent. I love him as a clutch player but the dude is a liability when he isn't hitting shots. Tyreke needs to finish his crazy layups or not take them at all. He is really starting to pee me off with his dumb decisions. IT is such a breath of fresh air and is showing us what we have been missing from a real PG. Salmons is worthless. Our bench has some talent on it, but its all for nothing if they aren't living up to it. Demarcus is my only untouchable right now in my mind.

Sure, they are the youngest team in the NBA, but that fact (in my eyes) can only hold for so long. Three years actually, we have been using that as a way to make ourselves feel better about terrible losses. I give lee-way and have my expectations very low, but these are the Cavs who were 6-8 at home, and we gave it away on a silver platter. Fans are not frustrated at the record, it is the incredible way we lose games. You can only teach and coach up to a certain point. If you have players with a low b-ball IQ, then coaching can only go so far. Only the wizards seem to have a greater collection of bad b-ball IQ then we do. I am frustrated because we lose games we shouldn't. Beating the thunder then losing five in a row... it is demoralizing for any fan. We go through the bumps and bruises, but lately that is all the Kings have provided. Winning cures a lot of these things.

Paging Geoff Petrie...paging all Maloofs...PLEASE see if you can make ANY trades for experienced veteran players..
We need them BAD!!

One could argue that the two veteran pickups in the offseason (Salmons and Hayes) are among the worst players on our team right now. Hayes is starting to improve, but he was badly out of shape to start the season.

10/5/2 with 3 turnovers in 34 minutes of play on 5-17 shooting

Will someone please tell me why on earth Evans continues to take his shot up with slight fade every freaking time? Even if he's wide open he fades back. Very fundamentally unsound and dumb - quite frankly. And I like his strong moves to the hole and overall basketball talent. But at 6'5" or so he does not need to fade on open shots or basically any shot. Remember how Beno used to go staight up or actually lien into his shots especially midrange? Hey Reke, get together with Jimmer and take some shooting lessons.
