I hope this game has proven to Salmons that he can have a HUGE impact on the game, and still come off the bench! Love to see that smile on his face!

There is another revelation to come out of tonight. The Kings were more aggressive and tougher than one of the toughest teams in the league...

Stop and think about that for a second...

Think about the past, and think about the future...the leadership that is in place, and how the leadership is getting out of players what we have never seen...

Theus was the right choice...this is the beginning of a long ride...and it is shaping up to have the possibility of being REALLY fun.

This game reinforces my opinion as to why the Kings should not make ANY TRADES. Keep everyone and see what happens. This is a very good team. Period.
I can respect that opinion, but I think it's more about a coaching staff getting the absolute maximum out of the Kings players on most nights. I love Artest on the court for the Kings, but don't want to see him just walk away at the end of this season and we get zip. Basically, it means we sent Peja packing and got virtually nothing in return. Bibby is set to make $14.5 mil next season so that's a burden considering his 25 year old backup Beno makes about $800,000 and we could lose him to free agency. Of course, if anyone will take K9 and Reef with all the zillions the Kings owe them we gladly dispatch either one or both for a stale bag of popcorn at best.

Wait...

The Kings were ... tougher...

Okay I'm gonna have to chew on that one a bit.

Nice post, Doc.

I LOVE THIS TEAM!!!

Great Performance

Theus is turning out to be the coach that I thought we could only get in my dreams. He's the story of the Kings season, by far. The Kings out-willed Utah in this game, and that is no mean feat. How many coaches in this league would have pulled Douby out in the 4th quarter to get the starter back in the game? Answer: at least 80% of them. Theus has some major cajones, and that's what separates him from mediocrity.

Douby - A+
Martin - A
Artest - A
Salmons - A
Bibby - C
Everybody else gets a B.

I didn't watch the game but 50 free throws? Wow...

I'm glad we ended utah's streak, though.

We shoulda ended their 13game win streak a couple years ago, too. We fell apart though.

Its funny all the different perspectives there are, on Jazzfanz.com nearly all of the fans are saying that the refs won that game for us-not even admitting we played a great game. Just thought it was funny.
