Jason....Williams?

J-WILL55

G-League
Hehehe.....Might be wishful thinking, might not.

How would you guys feel about bringing in J-Will to backup Beno? It's been rumored multiple times since we nearly traded Bibby to Miami and brought J-Will back. Was even discussed with the Kings and J-Will's agent last offseason when Jason decided to make his comeback.

His contract is up in Orlando, and the Magic have already indicated that both Jason and Matt Barnes won't be offered new deals.

I say bring in J-Dub on a 1-year deal, and let him end his career where it started!

(I will cry like a baby if we bring him back!)

You know im actually all for jwill is a reformed knucklehead who straightemed up and got a ring out of it. He will always be a king to me and i admit the reason why im a kings fan in the first place. He could have some nice words of wisdom for dmc and even a guy like donte.

I was thinking the same thing. Bring J-Will in to split the job with Beno.
Wouldn't cost much and we would need much from him. Just bring a little swagger back to Sactown.

YEAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THATS WHAT I LIKE TO SEE!

Maybe I'll start a "Bring Back J-Will" petition lol....I've been dreaming of the day that would happen for the last 3-4 years...He's the reason I love basketball as much as I do. I'm 23 and he's still my sports idol. I still try and emulate his moves and get excited when I see him play, like I used to when I was a kid.

I'll take #55 back in a Kings jersey. But I think he's probably ring chasing at this point. He'd probably get interest on contenders that need a backup point guard, essentially removing us from the list for him. He fit well with Orlando, plus there's Miami, Cleveland, the Lakers, etc., who all need backup point guards.

Edit: While we're at it, Peja is a free agent also. Could have a little renaissance movement. We need a shooter, right? Edit: Guess he's not. Was looking at an inaccurate FA list...

Like the Mike Miller idea, this is one that's been growing on me. But obviously not as a backup to Beno -- Beno himself is I suspect going to be a backup with Cisco starting at the SG spot. But where JWill could fit is as that 3rd string PG, Sergio's spot to some degree, but really more just as a veteran presence -- the Derek Fisher role we had discussed. Initially I wrote JWill off because its JWill -- yeah some veteran leader. But then I began to think about it, and JWill is not the same wild kid he was a decade ago. He's still no Rhodes Scholar, but he has matured, and yet still I think speaks the kid's language. He's still a bit of White Chocolate, and so as a vet might be able to talk to and mesh with the kids easier than somebody coming in as a "father figure" would. Throw in the championship experience wiht Miami, and a chance to wrap things up back in Sacto in front of a rejuvenated fanbase who would probably go wild in garbagetime when he was brought in, and I can see it now. Would also continue our make amends tour after our ingratious behavior toward our heroes in the mid decade, following Corliss and Booby as old Kings brought back to finish things up with us.

J-dub actually looked very solid when he got minutes during Nelson's hiatus last season.

I believe he has matured and is still a very entertaining player.

I'm all for Mike Miller. I think he'd be a perfect fit for out team. He's one of the better shooters in the league, and if he has a fault, its that he's too unselfish. He's also a lot better defender than people give him credit for. I don't know what he's looking for in the way of money or location, but I'd love to have him. He's only 30 years old so he could play the Derrick Fisher dagger through the heart for a few years. The dude is a career above 40% 3pt shooter, while shooting over 50% overall. Beno then becomes the backup poiint with Cisco backing up Miller at the 2.

I love J-Dub and would love to see him back in Sacramento.. I believe he gives us a 2 pronged advantage by making us better and putting butts in the seats.

BTW what ever happened to Wally Szczerbiak? When thinking of Mike Miller I thought of him as well.

Yeah, Mike Miller didn't immediately spring to mind for me, but the more I think about it he's one of the few players in the league that is a definite upgrade over Cisco in the Christie-esque SG mold.

A big NO to J. Will.

He is another talented player who won't give out his best in every game. He is sloppy and lazy. He is the kind of player who won't give extra-effort to win. I think Orlando already found this out too well during the playoffs.

Remember the playoff game against the Celtics where Rajon Rondo dove down and stole the ball from J. Will and easily scored with a lay-up?

What does that kind of play of Williams tells us?

That is THE PLAYOFFS where you do your best to protect the ball at all times. He could have bent a little bit and use his hands to protect the ball, block Rajon Rondo with his legs, or whatever. But he didn't do anything. There shouldn't be any excuse for J-will for not protecting that ball, especially it was THE PLAYOFFS.

And now you want this guy back to the kings?

And what would be enough incentive for him to play harder in Kings uniform?

The dude IS like thrice Rondo's age ....
