And that's a point I bring up about guys like Drummond. If you've got a Coach Pop, for example, and he's willing to take on the chore of Drummond, fine. I can live with that. But we have what appears a middle of the road coach with a weak management/owners. So you combine Drummond with a shaky organization and that increases the risk of the pick.
Just a tidbit, Chad Ford just had his latest mock draft and had us draft Thomas Robinson adding in his summary, that JOHN Henson is the darkhorse at this spot.
It sounds as if the Kings like -- to varying degrees -- Barnes, North Carolina big men Tyler Zeller or John Henson, or even Kentucky forward Terrence Jones more than risky prospects such as Connecticut center Andre Drummond or Baylor forward Perry Jones III.

Here's a little bit from Amick at SI.com
Sam also says that we are interested in Beal but might be leaning away from it considering that we have Thornton, Salmons and Evans (with possible extension coming this summer) already under contract.
If we indeed love Beal, I suspect that we will trade one of the 2 (as no one will want Salmons) for another piece that we need (SF or a shotblocker)!
I must admit that a few years ago I thought that Harrison Barnes will be a certainty at our pick but the more I think about it, the more I am worried that we will end up with Beal or Robinson which makes me extremely nervous.
I would rather trade that pick for an established young veteran that addresses a need (SF or PF)
I disagree that no one would want Salmons. He's still a good player in the right system. However, I don't think anyone would want him at the salary he's making.

anyone watching the combine???
im upset a few of the guys arnt working out today
lamb also thinks he will be top 5!!!
It happens every year, it's not a big deal. They'll all do the measurements and the agility/speed drills tomorrow. That's the one to watch.
Jeff Goodman @GoodmanCBS
Thomas Robinson just told me he measured 6-8 3/4 with shoes. 7-3 wingspan and 5 percent body fat. Official measurements released tomorrow.

Bradley Beal measured 6-4 1/4 and 6-8 wingspan.
He's basically 6'9" with solid wingspan unless his shoes were 2" thick. Much more important how long he is. He's going to be in Griffin's range around 8'10" would be my guess.

It seems draft process is officially started. Dion Waiters was apparently promised a selection he likes a lot and he shut down any further participation (workouts and interviews) in NBA combine, not sure if any workouts were scheduled after the event and whether they will be cancelled as well. The team is not known and he still has wide range but after some scout quote that there are only two future stars in the draft - Dvis and Waiters - it must be lottery ptomise, probably even somewhere in the middle. Someonea are trying to hit themselves a Westbrook.
Damian Lillard cancelled his workouts even before the Combine but now is set to workout for Portland. TO Portland at #6?
I've previously said that I want us to keep Tyreke and build around Cousins and Tyreke going forward.
I don't think that trading up is a "valuable" thing to do as I think the price to pay to get to #2 is larger than the gap in talent between #2 and #5. The best value for us would be to either draft the best available or trade the pick for a productive player that fills the need..
I really know very little about this but isnt getting say an MKG who fits the team better then having an Evans who doesnt???
Also for anyone why cant we get FA's in and do they care about where they go to live normally or is it just money....
He's on the edge, normal height in stocking feet for a with shoe 6'8.75 could range anywhere from 6'7.25 to 6'7.5. Familiar names who have been in that region over the years are Paul George, Luke Babbitt, Justin Williams, James Jones, Marcus Morris, Tristan Thompson, Derrick Williams, Carl Landry, Shelden Williams, Darrel Arthur, Danny Granger, Sean May, Hakim Warrick, Eric Williams, Reggie Evans, Richard Jefferson, Al-Farouq Aminu, Dominic McGwire, Tyrus Thomas etc. (just went down draftexpresses list of measurement history). Of those guys, guys like Darrel Arthur, Hakim Warrick and Tyrus Thomas might be the best physical/athletic matches.
