It's early, but anybody have a draft wish list yet?

I like Moultrie in general as a player.

I don't like him for us though. He's a more offensive minded JT, I don't see him being a good fit for our team and for DeMarcus cause of his defense - atleast not over other prospects available at the SF position mainly.

He does have a high ceilling like Baja says due to his athletic ability - but personally I don't really see him reaching the peak of his potential.. I see him settling down as a more offensive less defensive minded JT (not that JT is that great of a defensive player, but he has that role player "do anything for the team" mentality and effort that sets him apart from Moultrie in my book)

He's more athletic than JT. Like JT, he already has a nice skill set, but it needs refinement. With a lack of depth in our front court, he would be a nice addition. By no means am I suggesting he be a replacement for JT, but an addition. I think because of his added athleticism, and rapid improvement, he has a higher ceiling than JT did at the same time in his career.
I really don't see any rapid improvement. He's essentially a young senior. He's got 20% more playing time and worse rebounder as a partner so he had slightly better rebounding numbers. He can shoot a bit. He certainly doesn't project to be any better than Thompson and that's the main point.

If we keep our picks (and I don't think we will), based on who we've worked out and who makes sense, my best case scenario is this: MKG at 5, and Kyle O'Quinn in the second round. I'd consider that a successful draft day.

I'd be perfectly fine if we walked away from tomorrow with MKG and O'Quinn.

This is such a deep draft that we should have a lot of good players who can actually make an NBA rotation when we get our 2nd round pick at #36.
But I don't really care who we get in the 2nd round, because if we end up with MKG in the 1st round, we'll come away as a winner in this draft.

Agreed... although tough to see us holding onto the pick at this point. Seems like a trade is immenent.

Day before draft my final wish list is either mkg or dion waiters. Mkg needs no explanation. Waiters is a guy who you put on the court with tyreke and all of a sudden we have two guys who you can't stop getting to the rim. Defenses will always be backing up against us... similar to the heat style wise.

"It's early yet .......". No it isn't anymore. I'll be happy if it is simple and we get Barnes or MKG. But more important is that Petrie gets what he wants. Trust the man's judgement completely. So bring on the show.

Agree with the bolded for sure... I'm still a Petrie supporter, especially when it comes to the draft.

Dream scenario:

1.) Keep the #5, draft BPA (ie not Lillard, Henson etc)
2.) Trade Tyreke & filler to Houston for #12 + Kyle Lowry

...and on that note:

3.) Maloofs file for Chapter 11, sell team to Burkle, Geoff Petrie resigns, new DT arena deal put into action.
4.) Multiple private sector employers relocate to Sacramento.
5.) Sac State gets an actual sports program worthy of college sports
6.) State and city workers see return to pre-recession wages and benefits.
7.) Someone figures out K Street.
8.) Gas prices fall below $2 a gallon

And I'm done.
