that's nice. they got stuff we want: our picks, jimmy butler, and taj gibson. however, i'd bet that sportingnews lacks credibility.
I'm afraid Payton won't be there at 16. And I'm not interested in LaVine. Still, I'd try to squeeze one of the Bulls later picks back in a deal for 8, along with Gibson. Or perhaps Snell. Maybe taking the condition of next year's pick could convince them. Taj is a great fit next to Cousins, but he's not young. Turns 29 shortly.

The problem with the Chicago trades where we get Butler or gibson is we have to send players back and Chicago is trying to clear cap space for free agents. Not sure we are great partners outside of them having stuff we like.
Butler could compensate for IT's defensive deficiencies.
can we stop this, please? IT holds his own on the defensive end, and at the very least, he knows what he should be doing on defense
No, he really doesn't.
McLemore was horrendous last season... just awful. Worse than IT in every facet of the game. Doesn't mean IT is a solid defender... he's not. I want IT back, I'm a fan. But he gets paid because of his offense.this is so false. go ahead and show everyone clips of isaiah thomas playing worse defense than ben mclemore.
tony snell REALLY sucks, guys. we should want nothing to do with him. ben mclemore is a better prospect.
can we stop this, please? IT holds his own on the defensive end, and at the very least, he knows what he should be doing on defense and can outscore his opponent. ben mclemore DOES NOT. he can't defend, doesn't know how to defend, and not only can't he outscore his opponent, he can't do ANYTHING better, like rebounding, stealling, assisting, etc. jimmy butler would compensate for BEN MCLEMORE, not isaiah thomas.
can you guys watch him play, please? isaiah thomas knows how to play pick and rolls, he can handle switches and off ball movement, he communicates, he reacts quickly, and he tries. for a guy that drops 20 ppg, 6 apg, and is the vocal leader of the team, what he does is absolutely fine at this point in the team's building process. players know they can shoot over isaiah, but they don't salivate like when they're being guarded by ben mclemore or jimmer. this should not even be a topic.

It's not about effort. It's about size. If you put a 180lb guy on an NFL defensive line and tell someone he belongs because he has great technique, they'd think you're crazy. Same here. For all of his heart and desire, his physical stature is a henderance on the defensive end. There is no way around it.
You just said IT is an ok defender while saying Snell is a bad defender.....hahaha.can you guys watch him play, please? isaiah thomas knows how to play pick and rolls, he can handle switches and off ball movement, he communicates, he reacts quickly, and he tries. for a guy that drops 20 ppg, 6 apg, and is the vocal leader of the team, what he does is absolutely fine at this point in the team's building process. players know they can shoot over isaiah, but they don't salivate like when they're being guarded by ben mclemore or jimmer. this should not even be a topic.
Who knows how serious these talks are, but this could be big for us. We need to get out of that obligation with our pick that we gave up in the Hickson trade. The Kings don't have many assets to trade so not being able to trade picks really hurts us. Also the Bulls have a lot of other picks in this draft and have said that they don't want pay a bunch of rookie contracts this year. My guess is that they really don't want the #8 for themselves either, most likely a 3-way trade and we swing the #8 to someone else.
Yes, here is why they would want it: http://basketball.realgm.com/wireta...bson-Snell-Two-Picks-To-Wolves-For-Kevin-Love
Note also, I would 1 million percent put it beyond them to be trying to form up a Big Three of their own. In such a scenario I am no even sure if they could keep Noah. But Rose, swign a trade for Love, then nab Melo as a FA. IT possible. But they have to dump salary like mad.

This better not be true I would be all over 8 for Afflalo unless we are holding out for there 12.
"The Magic have also been trying to both move up and get another lottery pick. They've offered Nos. 4 and 12 and Afflalo to the Cavs and Bucks, but so far, no takers. They've also used Afflalo as bait to get a pick from the Kings at No. 8 and the Nuggets at 11, but so far, no deal."
