Biggest gripe with IT tonight is that he rarely passes to the 'popper' on the pick and pop and then dribbles into traffic. Has had Cousins or Patterson open for jumpers on multiple plays and just missed it.

It's funny that every announcer I have heard from summer league, to preseason, and random analysts all love Ray after seeing him play for the first time. He certainly doesn't seem like a rookie.
Ditto! It is so refreshing to see guys out there who not only wear the same uniform but obviously know they're on the same TEAM. The bench is supportive and not staring vacantly out into space.

That's likely more culture related than player related. Take our exact roster from last year and give them a new owner, new coach, the ability to not think about off court distractions, etc, and they'd likely have been just as enthused.
I don't think there is any coincidence that the "lid on the basket" the announcers are talking about happened when we swapped IT/Jimmer for Ben and Ray.
