It's always the officials fault when a team loses, I guess...from what I rememeber, Serbia allowed a wide open, uncontested lay up with seconds remaining on the clock. Not the refs, Serbia just got mixed up on defense and Turkey was lucky enough to find themselves wide open without having to shoot a contested field goal or three. Overall, Serbia was definently the better team all game long, that was obvious, but execution down the stretch showed a bit of their youth. I'm proud of what they did though, they exceeded expectations as for making it that far into the tournament with one of the youngest teams in FIBA.

All of this tonight reminded me of Kings - Lakers game 6... what a pathetic officiating from the refs! Turkey's worst free throw shooter - Asik goes on the ground and says that he can't shoot last free throws... what about fair play man? !
I was about to complain about that, but then the substitution shot 1 of 2, a mark even Asik would have gotten. All in all, there were some bogus calls against Serbia in the fourth, but they suffered much more from bad execution and a trigger-happy Teodosic than they did from the refs. Still, I think that Serbia should have won this one, they were clearly the better team, but just didn't have the necessary composure at the end.
