what was the last movie you watched?

HA! I graduated in 81 and that movie came out in 82. Filmed in a the other valley but funny none the less.
"Once" was the last movie I saw. Meh. I have a hard time understanding the Irish in movies. It's almost like they need subtitles.

Watched Pay It Forward last night. I've decided I'm shutting the movie off after the kid gets interviewed, I don't like the ending.

Also saw Ratatouille. It was a lot of fun. A few scenes of hordes of rats did creep me out, tho, even if they were cartoons.

I just watched this too. I agree with your sentiments. I had heard the joke couldn't sustain a whole movie but I liked it.
Also watched The Pick of Destiny which was funny but too repetitive of other superior Tenacious D material and Nacho Libre which sucked.

I saw Ratatouille on Monday and it was great! The movie delivers a good message to viewers.

"Apocalypto" - Not the type of movie I'd usually watch, but I thought it was a great movie. Mel Gibson did an excellent job directing it, very realistic and exciting. Would recommend it.

It was all of those things. I was very tense the whole movie. People should know, tho, that this is a very bloody and violent movie. However, the Aztecs were a bloody and violent culture, especially near its end/collapse.

watched transformers it was one of best action movies I seen in a long time(300 being the other).
Good action movie, but DEFINITELY geared more to the teenybopper set. Some of the "smaller" characters in the movie definitely had way too much of a JarJar feel to them. Those could have been done in a better way, I think.
Special effets and sounds were REALLY well done. As a "movie", it was OK. As an "action movie", it was better than I expected, especially in the second half.
As with most movies of this kind, there were only a *few* gaping holes in it.

I'm sure this one would clash w/ the other movies that have managed to spawn 3 best actor Oscar winners. (Sean Penn, Nick Coppola/Cage, Forrest Whittaker)

I'm not hard of hearing, but you have just touched the reason why I use the "Closed Captioning" option on my TV whenever I rent out a movie. Especially British/Irish/Scottish movies. The accents would be too difficult for me to follow if I'm watching it in a theater.
That said, I would like to see "Once", mainly because I've heard lots of good things about it. But I'll wait for the DVD to come out.

Went and saw HPOOTP last night. The girl who plays Luna is imo, PERFECT for the role. Staunton, who plays Umbridge also nailed it. Good movie, can't wait for the uncut version though. At some points felt like it was just chopped up a little too much, apparently it hadn't been long enough since I read the book for me to really enjoy it.

You ever see The Commitments? Set in Dublin, Irish actors. Very entertaining movie, but you'd have to view it 100 times to get all the dialogue. I just barely learned what bollocks means.

Cocaine Cowboys - A documentary about the cocaine trade in Miami in the late 70's - 80's. Just put this on your netflix queue , if you've got one. The real story is much wilder than Scarface.
(There are some quick shots of photos of the drug war carnage. I was OK with it, but if you're really sensitive to that stuff you'll want to be careful with this film. )

I saw "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix"...it was excellent, the best one so far.

Saw it today... big fun. If you can get to an IMAX and see the 3D version it was a nice bonus.
