what was the last movie you watched?

Last movie I did see was Dan In Real Life.

I thought it was slow at first, but after the story was in place I found it worthwhile. That being said, I'll most likely never watch it again.

Next I plan to see The Mist, designed after an old short story written by Stephen King. That story scared the crap out of me! Good times.

I watched Coach Carter on the bus the other night on the way back from the Stanford/USA Women Senior National Team game.

knocked up. laughed hard at times, but thought it was vastly overrated in general.
Couldn't agree more there. I was blown away at the gap between the hype and the actual movie, which was practically a drama with some barely amusing side characters.
Watched this one last night.

I agree with both of you, except that I didn't laugh hard even once. A chortle or two, nothing more.

Saw "Primeval" last night - the humongous, insatiable African croc film based on a true story. Give it pretty high marks for excitement, but overall a C+.
After "Blood Diamond" and "Primeval" it's looking very dim that I'd ever visit darkest Africa. Between the tribal atrocities (way gross) and killer crocs, a travel agent has got to work damn hard to get anybody into most of those civil war-is-a-way-of-life countries.

Hitman on Thanksgiving and Enchanted this afternoon.

While Hitman wasn't that great (but better than I was expecting - saw it with my dad and BIL), my wife and I both really liked Enchanted. Go see it. Really. Disney poking fun at Disney. One of the best "chick flicks" I have ever seen.

I was very surprised by "Transformers." It screams, "Sequel!"
I didn't think I'd care for it, but I've seen it three times now, and noticed more with every repeat viewing. VERY well done and enjoyable. I'm screaming "Sequel", too!

^^^ was anyone else confused during the fight scenes (i.e. couldn't really discern what was going on) during transformers, or was it just me?
Some were hard to follow.

Same thing with lots of movies now - the herky-jerky quick cuts make it easier to relate a sense of action and speed and cover for lack of good scripting of a fight, but really makes it hard to follow sometimes....

I watched Bully last night, also watched Natural Born Killers last night, and Aliens. I was so bored this weekend because I didn't have a thanksgiving. Went through my DVD collection, and watched a lot of HBO/Starz/SHO/ENCORE this weekend.

Saw Hitman! was awesome!!!
Uh, OK. I actually thought it was rather mediocre, but to each their own I guess.

Definitely better than many other video game to movie IP transfers. But the plot was rather poorly laid out/explained at times and some of the video editing wasn't very good. I don't think they ever gave a good reason why a large bald man with a bar code tatoo on the back of his head being hunted around the world by Interpol is so inconspicuous, either. Actually, all the "hitmen" have them, and none of them are ever noticed? A few of the dialogue lines were almost laughable. There's more, but I'll stop there.

That considered, it was definitely better than I anticipated.

very true. reminded me of the action sequences in gladiator, where they shot close up that you couldn't tell what the movements were (i call it vomit-cam).

also like juicy_j, saw deja vu last night. these timeline movies never ever solve for the paradox of time travel! (well, i don't expect hollywood to solve quantum physics, but still...) :p

It's why I've been so disappointed with the second two Bourne films despite their strong acting and writing.

Lets see, I saw The Mist ( Loved this movie, the ending has to be one of the best endings in horror history!)

Rescue Dawn (Another great movie, a bit violent at parts but it was fantastic, i do recommend)

Idiocracy ( Hilarious, you must see this movie)

P2 (sucked)

No country for old men ( Must See!!!)

Hitman (Good action, little plot, not bad for a video game IP)

Green Mile (Seen it awhile back, but saw it again recently. What a great movie if you have not seen it yet you are missing out in life)

The Toxic Avenger (80's shock B-movie, truly a classic not for the kiddies.)

Beowolf (Interesting movie, don't know if i liked it or not)

The Ten (a comedy in limited release, quite funny)

Dan In Real Life (Funny movie, its in limited release and am not sure if its available here in Sacramento)

Grease 2....

suprisingly not as bad as i thought it would be.... if you ignore grease 1 then it'b a decent movie... problem is grease 1 cannot be ignored.

story was decent, some songs were ok, but most of them were pretty bad compared to the songs in grease.

overall... 6/10
