Webber being booed by 76ers fans LOUD

the only offense excuted by 76ers is "give the ball to AI, he shoots or goes to basket to try tough layup, draw fouls or pass it dangerous at the last moment", there is no play designed for Webber at all.
when Webber had the ball, everybody was standing there, watching him one on one,
only one cut-in by Mckie ended up a turnover.
Also, there is no good shooter in 76ers like Bibby, Pedja in Kings.

Close to useless? Not much left in his tank? How interesting. And how very, very odd that his season stats for 2004-2005 while with the Sacramento Kings told such a different story.
If you're going to always dump on him, at least be honest about it.
I don't think stats should be used as the absolute judge of a players ability. T-Mac averaged 28 pts, 6 reb and 5.5 asts when the Magic won 21 games. Similarly, the value of many players who underachieve in the box score is much higher than what their stats may suggest.

brad was also injured when webb came back. there were a lot of factors.
but like i said before, this is a very debatable topic because it will be hard to change someone's opinion on it because some people will never change their minds.
so yeah, think what you want to think. but IMO someone has to be that blind to say that webb caused all of that to happen without even considering the other factors involved.

Most common ERRONEOUS whine made by some people is that anything negative or critical results in people jumping on you.

I agree, this is a bad match for him.
One thing that I've been thinking is, I wonder if AI really wants to win badly enough to allow another "star" on the team. I don't see him making the effort to help CWebb adjust, that's for sure.

I fell sorry for chris because they are just not utilizing him. I wish they would payout barnes so he could become a free agent and come back.

It is like that on the radio every flippin day. This is how the comments go:
1. "I like Webber but...."
2. "I am not trying to bash Chris, but...."
3. Chris has done a lot in the community.....BUT"
It pisses me off. Especially that bufoon Grant Napear and his tweety bird side kick Lamb. THey are always veiling their hate for Chris behind what they feel is justifiable adoration.

And Grant and Mike honestly seem to want him to do poorly, just so they can claim the trade is a success. Grant never seemed to like him much anyway.

Well, honestly both A.I. and Webber want the ball in their hands all the time. That's not going to work. This was A.I.'s team for years, and as long as somebody's inbounding the ball to him C-Webb's not going to get it as much as he did with the Kings. I didn't think it was going to come to disagreements this quick, but I guess I underestimated AI and Webb's ego.
But, in all fairness I definitely don't think Webb is the cancer of that team. He's not the type of guy who'll start rifts in the change room, whereas A.I. is known for having a big trap and probably said something to tick off Webb badly.

I don't know. One of the first things Webb said after the trade was that he called AI and told him he knew it was AI's team and all he wanted to do was help. Obviously that's easy to say, but I think Webb knew going in that he was not going to be "THE MAN" of this team. I think he would be happy with being incorporated into the offense, being able to play most of the game, and being the #2 guy to go to. Evidently that is too much to ask....

I am a big time, huge Chris Webber fan, always have, always will be. And I will be the first person to get a "Nats" red throwback C-Webb when it comes out. But I have to admit I am shocked how this trade has so far turned out. I hated this trade from day one. But I have come to understand why the Kings did it and I have come to appreciate the skills that Brian Skinner has brought to this club.
But Chris Webber is not the same player. We can blame it on the offense, we can blame it on Iverson all we want. I was for sure that once Webb got to the Eastern Conference, that he was going to dominate the low block. He is still shooting those elbow jumpers, which in my opinion a result of not getting any lift because of the injury. He is not getting lift on his jump shot, as a result he has a low shooting percentage.

Thats what they were talking about on NBA Fastbreak. They said the lift was there at the beggining of the season, now it turned into the limp of last season.Purple Reign said:

I think confidence has A LOT to do with it. And, face it, he's not happy. He's depressed, he has no confidence, and that is something he has to find a way to shake. That part of the solution can only come from within him, because he's KNOWS he is a much better player than this.
