so this isn't the greatest movie ever, and the main actor ended up being a hobbit. and i don't understand much about football. or the irish. or any of the other things that other people who like this movie appreciate it for.
but man. the ultimate slow-clap scene.
RU-DY! RU-DY!
from wiki:
Rudy is a 1993 film directed by David Anspaugh. It is an account of the life of Daniel "Rudy" Ruettiger who harbored dreams of playing football at the University of Notre Dame despite significant obstacles. It was the first movie the Notre Dame administration allowed to be shot on campus since Knute Rockne, All American in 1940. In 2005 "Rudy" was named one of the best 25 sports movies of the previous 25 years in two polls by ESPN (#24 by a panel of sports experts, and #4 by espn.com users) [1]
Does anyone know if Dime Dropper has checked back in after his trip to the States? Am I supposed to PM someone else?

uh... yeah, so people are penalized if they are unwilling to trade or find a trade partner? i think if people would want to trade and find someone willing to do so, then fine. but to take away points if they don't, even though that was never in the initial rules for the draft is kinda wrong, no?
Okay, I'm going to remove the Top 5 part as the trade rules are creating enough confusion as it is already.
As far as the trade rules are concerned, I fail to see the monumental problem here. I had been planning throwing a twist into the end of the draft for weeks now and it was confirmed for me when I saw the decrease in interest in the music draft as it wound down. Not to sound like a pretentious movie-quoting douche, but, "Why so serious?"
This is just something for fun, I don't have any ulterior motives. Several people have expressed regret when someone has taken a movie they coveted, not just me. Plus both trading parties have the ability to strengthen their draft if the trade is right.
Arbitrary moderator announcement:
Once a draft thread is underway, the rules are LOCKED. Allowing changes to the rules is simply not in the best interests of anyone participating, nor is it fair. Since this has really been an active thread, I don't think there's any reason to fix something that isn't broken.
The rules as established when the thread was created are still in force.

You're more like Mark Cuban or one of the other franchise owners. We, the moderating staff, are David Stern.
Sorry, dude. You're not going to change the rules. If you wanted a twist at the end, you should have said so at the beginning.
We're being consistent with all the draft threads. That way, everyone knows where they stand.
If it's not proceeding at your pace, maybe you're just impatient? There are only two rounds left.
Why? Because you've already tried to initiate trades?
What you're trying to do is change the game to suit yourself. That ain't cool. And it's not the way to get people more interested when you - the commissioner - try to change the rules 18 rounds into the thread.
You can say whatever you want as many times as you like but it's not going to change the facts. And trying to be sarcastic only makes you look silly.
Of course you don't see a good reason why you can't change the rules to suit yourself. Bonaparte thought the same...
