[Game] Trailblazers @ Kings - 3 p.m. - 4/15/12

So that when other teams rebuild ahead of us with useful players that fit, you can at least tell kigns opponents that we didn't finish last for the division? You're going for a symbolic victory, I'm going for a strategic long term victory. This is horrible for us.

Yeah, because the worst team always gets the best draft pick, right? This is beyond bizarre. It's a crap shoot, dude. And it's then. This is NOW and I want a win! If you don't, at least have a tiny bit of respect for those who still care about the game.

Why worry about the drive there? Worst case, you foul him going to the basket. He has taken most of his shots from the perimeter. Just bad situational awareness from Cisco there.

You're right it means nothing, while a couple extra ping pong balls could mean everything.

Well my point was that if we are not going to separate from CLE at all we might as well win a game for our guys' sake. It's flawed logic but I meant it more as optimism for our team, o depressing one. Lol

But we're already separated. You're asking for us to unseparate.

Thank you great god Naismith!!! I don't know about anyone else, but our team freaking needed that!!!! I LOVE THIS TEAM!!!!!!!!

Wow. That was a perfect look. I don't know if it was the play, or bad Portland D, but that has to be the best 'end of the game' look we've had in like 2 years. Great shot from Marcus and an underrated good pass from Thomas.

You guys are crazy if you didn't want to win this one! Come back to reality, Kings and draft lottery don't mix after all.

As a fan, i appreciate the win. As a realist, I know I'd rather have extra chances at a draft spot that can net us a franchise changer than the short term excitement of one win. No disrespect to either kind of response, it's just the way I see things

Looking at that replay .. It was Smart of Smart to have IT inbound the ball so he could make the pass over a lazy Felton. Not enough height to block the vision of the inbounder. When Portland made that 3 Cousins length and energy really made it hard for Hickson to get that pass in.

THANK YOU!!!!! I am as fed up with people and their stupid "lins and wosses" as I am with the Maloofs. We'll get a good draft pick; it's a good draft pool this year. Right now, I WANT MY TEAM TO WIN!!!

I think respect needs to go both ways. Some of the posts from fans calling for losses need to really tone down the aggressiveness. At the same time, wanting us to have a better shot at mkg or davis doesn't mean people are "stupid". If you want to adress people not respecting each other on the board, please do so as it makes this a better site. But don't sink to the level of a few people that don't know how to post a different opinion in a respectful way.

I've shown more respect and restraint that ever should be required. I'm sorry if my own outburst of passion offends you. People do NOT need to pollute the game thread, long a traditional way for Kings fans to share the excitement of the game with other fans when we cannot be at the arena in person, with talk about the POSSIBLE impact on a future draft pick. They really don't. It's pure lunacy anyway, since anyone still believing the worst record gets us a better draft pick hasn't been playing attention.

I will not apologize for my passion for my Kings or my enthusiasm for the game.

Im not asking you to apologize for your passion or enthusiasm. Im asking for consistency in the way that we address each other as fans, regardless of perspectives and provided that any view point is posted in a respectful manner.

I personally dont think it was that off base to discuss lottery impact in a game thread and have already admitted i think some people handled that in a way that needed more restraint. I think fans deserve to ge excited about this win AND can discuss its impact on things like the draft.

I'd have to double-check, but I think that there have been as many teams to win the lottery with the 14th-worst record as have won the lottery with the worst record. Hell, look at the Kings history alone: the year we won the lottery, we had the sixth-worst record, and the year that we had the worst record, we ended up with, mathematically speaking, the worst pick we could have possibly ended up with.

Play to win the game.
