Toyota commercial feat. Phil Jackson & Kings??

It showed on TNT before the Piston and Heat game. It showed two guys laying on the beach watching a Kings game on a little t.v. screen. Then Phil Jackson appeared in a brown Jedi robe saying something to the guys after Mike Bibby made the shot (w/ Grant Napier calling the game).

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. could this mean something?

It means Phil Jackson signed a deal to do advertisements with Toyota.

Perhaps they filmed a couple of them to "target" to specific markets and used the local team in them.

This has been brought up every time the commercial has aired...

The ads were filmed by Toyota some time back. Does it mean anything? Yes, they were timed to coincide with the opening of the new Star Wars. Hence, PJ as a Jedi Master. Does it mean anything relative to the Kings? Well, maybe if you go for the Pete Carril/Yoda connection but in all honesty I think people are trying to read WAY TOO MUCH into some clever ad exec's pet project.

I saw a commercial where Magic Johnson was playing ball with the Fantastic Four. I bet you anything Magic is the real Hulk.

You know what's a great commercial? The one with the husband laying in bed with his wife on Valentines Day, and she opens her gift and there are two cell phones, and he says "Ohhh, it's a mother's day miracle.... hey, I'll take this one." So funny.

And no, Phil isn't coming here. He can only coach a team that has 2 of the top 5 current players, remember? We don't even have one in the top 15!

I finally saw it, the only good thing about it was that Kings were in it. I don't think they were trying to tell us anything but there was a lot of teams they could have picked and they picked us. Interesting.

this commercial is just to remind everyone Jackson beat the Kings. ughhh, the torment.

Phil the wannabe celebrity looked really silly in his role as a standby in Star Wars.

His mustache makes him look like someone who thinks he is a ladies man.

Portraying real life NBA figures as Star Wars characters? What genius came up with that hackneyed concept?
