This movement to defend Draymond brings to mind Axl Rose from back in the day. I'm a HUGE fan of GN'R and I don't recall many people defending Axl's erratic, selfish and boorish behavior back in the late 80's and early 90's.

I think as a culture, we’re now very reticent to call out bad behavior for fear it will be interpreted as a condemnation of a specific culture…. when in reality, we’re just pointing out that a specific human being is crazy, immoral, etc.

It’s seriously gotten weird.
After a highly competitive and entertaining Game 1, the Warriors fandom response was measured and relatively reasonable:
-Monk and Fox were exceptionally good for one night, but wouldn’t repeat
-Looney and Green had successfully contained Sabonis
-Len was a surprise, but no other Kings role players made a significant impact
-Curry and Thompson would be better
-Wiggins, Poole and the other Warriors Role Players would be better
-Payton II would lock down Fox
-Monk would fall back to Earth
-Warriors in 5
But now with Golden State down 2-0, and Green suspended for Game 3, Warriors Nation has melted into existential crisis mode screaming in lunacy at the creeping shadows on the wall.
It’s as though they were fully expecting round one to be little more than a playoff tune-up, willing to tolerate a single “gentlemen’s” loss to the lowly Kings, but anything outside of the Warriors winning on cruise control was cause to cry conspiracy.

Seems like the warriors are on an all out media blitz to try to work the league (on the dray suspension) and now the refs. It's both sad and kinda cool that theyre apparently shook by us, but also a little worrying if we get the refs working OT to extend the series
I really wish that they would stick to the "we've been here before we've got you right where we want you" false bravado that made Lakers fans so annoying. At least I can respect that.

What the hell does using the ball as a weapon even mean. You want to say he is leading with his shoulder, shoving on rebounds, throwing elbows, etc.,... OK I guess. But using the ball as a weapon? Weak ass.

Sadly, this kind of PR blitz will prove very effective. Except Sabonis to foul out, with 2-3 questionable calls on the offensive boards.

I will admit, I’ve seen Domas push off to get rebounds in this series. But everyone pretty much does. Sometimes they call it, often they don’t.
Domas also does often lead with his shoulder. That’s how he plays.
You can make the same argument with the Bearded Hag doing things that others get called for. Lots of players have moves they get away with more than others.
Hell, Steph Curry carries the ball A LOT. But is rarely called for it. Jokic travels more than any player I can remember. And is rarely called for it.
It’s mighty frustrating as the opponent, for sure, but when your players are getting away with similar tactics — it’s disingenuous to really harp on it like it needs to change.
Klay Thompson got away with the most blatant double dribble the other night that you’ll see. But it’s ok when it’s YOUR team.
But ball as a weapon? Not sure I’ve heard that one before.

The Warriors sub is in full meltdown right now. Theyve convinced themselves that Domas is a dirty player who the refs protect (lol). Also Joe Dumars issuing the suspension is evidence of some kind of conspiracy.

They are experiencing very strong cognitive dissonance - and it will kick into overdrive if we win game three.
Strong cognitive dissonance is almost always accompanied by hallucinations. I'm not exaggerating when I use that word. The hallucinations serve the function of creating an alternate reality that resolves the cognitive dissonance. Humans (and especially in an emotionally charged situation like playoff sports fandom), are generally not very good at divesting from a version of reality they had previously strongly identified with (political candidate, sports team, etc). When that version conflicts with the real version of reality in unfolding events - the hallucinations start.
To put a finer point on it: "Using the ball as a weapon" - is a hallucination.

Domas does commit a lot of fouls. It's been one of his biggest weaknesses for a while when he nearly leads the league in the category over multiple years and it limits his availability on the floor. But the fact that the refs are calling those fouls on him (sometimes too closely) makes pretty clear he isn't getting any sort of special treatment
And for all his fouling it's never anything dirty
