if it got rid of thomas, yeah... i know he cant rebound but this team is already pretty bad... and he's still young...
That's no reason to trade for him.
We should only be making moves that either make us better or put us in a better financial situation so that we can get better. We shouldn't be taking chances on players who have shown that they are not good enough to improve our team. That's pretty counter-productive, if you ask me.
For instance: The Kings are one of the worst rebounding teams in the NBA, consistently. Brad Miller is not a dominant rebounder. In tonight's game, Brad Miller had 16 rebounds, including 3 offensive. Eddy Curry had 3 rebounds.
Why would we want him on our team?

I watched that game and didn't notice Curry had so few rebounds. What makes it worse is that he's always right on the hoop on offense, which you'd think would lead to some offensive rebounds. Does he run from the ball when it comes at him? I just don't get it.

Not even if we got rid of Thomas. Why trade a bad salary for another bad salary which cannot rebound? Does not make sense. Curry is a hack, and his post moves are the only thing keeping him in the NBA.
Actually I think he only grabbed two rebounds. The third one, IIRC, kinda bounced off his head and into his hands.

I would have to say the Knicks are the only team I can't stand in the NBA - largely due to players like Curry - I wouldn't trade anyone for him and would be seriously unhappy if he became a King (or even was moved to any other team I like). Curry is as evil as zucchini in my book.

I say do whatever the salaries allow to get their first rounder this year in a package for ron. I say take back Jerome Jame's contract and Balkman/lee/robinson + their pick for ron. I hope we could get the pick without crawfords of jefferies contract but since their pick will be so bad (potentially good enough to grab rose of deandre jordan) I think it is worth it.

Premise #1 -- Knicks do not want to give up Lee, furthermore as basically the only fan favorite if they did so the fans might burn down the building
Premise #2 -- we've got longterm contracts clogging up a rebuild for an unacceptably long time (3 more offseasons before you even have the offseason where maybe you turn the corner, let alone get good)
Premise #3 -- mentioned repeatedly, most recently in Amick's blog again, that we seem to have had an interest in Robinson, and the Knicks are willing to move Balkman but not Lee.

Questions: does Zeke have the clout at this point to make more salry adding pick-trading moves? Even if he does, does he have the cahones to do so -- if it fails it would have to lead to his firing. Right? The Knicks traded away their pick last summer...can they trade away this one midseason? There is a rule about not being able to trade away multiple future draft picks from consecutive years. But not sure if a past year (this last one) counts or not. Also, does NY's hesitation regarding Artest stem from fear of his nuttiness, or awareness that they already have one post player too many and adding another will only make it even worse?

Bibby for JWill part deux plus a second round pick (I don't think the Heat will part with a first round pick) sounds good to me. It's too bad we can't throw in Moore and Miami sends us Ricky Davis too.

The $$$ and cap situation are great but Kings basically get screwed in this trade. You want Balkman to go in front of Salmons? Over my dead body (and it is not very small). And Nate goes where?? 3rd PG with Beno? and a protected 1st rounder in '08? Nah. Not good for Kings this year or next.

i like that trade brick to the knicks. although we don't score lee in that trade, we get a very little protection which would net us a very high draft pick with the way the knicks are playing.
that would definitely need us to waive marbury immediately and look for suiters for robinson in the offseason. that guy is a nutcase also with a small contract.

They can keep Curry. The only thing Curry can do better than Miller is play in the low post...thats it.
