Jackson wants out of Golden State

Appearing in New York with Al Harrington, Stephen Jackson said he does not want to return to the Warriors this season. "I don't think I'll be a Warrior next year. I'm looking to leave," Jackson said.
Jackson said the Warriors have been made aware of his desire to be traded.
"I really can't get too much into it right now, but I'm just looking to go somewhere where I can go and win a championship," Jackson said.
Jackson listed the Cavs, any of the teams in Texas and the Knicks as his preferred destinations.

I'm fed up with players who think it's the team's fault they can't win a championship:

"I really can't get too much into it right now, but I'm just looking to go somewhere where I can go and win a championship," Jackson said.

What does he think? That almost everyone in the NBA can get a ring if they just announce they want one?

Earth to Stephen Jackson: If you were that good, the championship caliber teams would be coming after you. If they're not, I'd suggest you think long and hard about why.

Just the latest reason I like the NBA less every year and NCAA college basketball more. Way too much selfishness nowadays with all the look how great I am, get me a lucrative shoe deal, spoiled, spoiled, spoiled! Jackson wants out of Golden State because those Knicks are going to win a championship before the Warriors... hmmm... OK?! Yep, he has one ring already from Spurs 02-03.

What championship contender would want an aging forward that has horrible shot selection and shoots too many threes, hes like the new Antoine "there are no fours" Walker

If memory serves, didn't Antoine Walker get a ring with the Celitcs? I could be wrong - I just don't care enough about him to check. :p

Feh; anybody in the NCAAM that's worth anything at all as a player is trying to get to the NBA; you and I differ greatly as to whether or not the rest of them are worth watching.

No, but he did win one with the Heat.

I think his point had more to do with attitude than it did talent. But I suspect that there are large ego's in college as well. The seeds just haven't been watered enough yet.

I gotta beg to differ with that opinion. I don't think that there are any kids, even at the college level, that haven't been told that they were the greatest thing ever since they were first old enough to hold a basketball.

Knicks??..i mean seriously? What an idiot. He has been going down for the past couple of years and he shoots way too many three's for his own good. He should seriously reflect back on his career with the Warriors and ask himself if he ever played at full throttle consistently.

He wants to go to the Knicks because he knows that theyre going to have Lebron James after the upcoming season. I really hate when millionaire athletes complain about the team they play for and demand a trade. The only thing i hate more is when a player refuses to play for the team that drafted them ala Eli Manning. Could it possibly be so bad playing on a pro sports team that isnt competitive and geting paid MILLIONS for it?! Stephen Jackson, you are a crybaby...

You gotta remember that Jackson and Artest are friends. Jackson sees his boy Ron Ron getting ready to roll in Laker Town. Jackson is stuck on the GSW, a lower echelon team. NY or Texas are looking good to him. H%$@, who cares where Jack plays??? Jack is a good player, but his run is done in Oakland. Its not like he's MJ or John Stockton!!!

Ship him out Nellie! Get Lee in return on a sign and trade deal.

nelly wouldn't want lee, he doesnt run up and down non stop and shoot jumpers. he also plays something called defense and rebounds - 2 big no-nos in Nelly's system. besides, he's already ruining another young big man with phenomenal upside and great numbers in limited minutes.
