Unfortunately, I worry that if it's a Magic/Lakers finals, LA would match up well.
yes they would. they have ariza, odom and bryant to match up with lewis/turkoglu. so the magic would really need jameer nelson or a very good skip to do some damage on the pick&roll. i think it was barkely that said the magic need skiptml, not rafer alston

But so would Orlando. It works both ways
How so? The Lakers have much bigger perimeter defenders who will be able to close far better on guys like Lewis, Hedo, and Pietrus. Vujacic would be great to put on Rafer if he ever plays in his career like he did last night (I seriously think he used every last bucket made for his career in that game). They'll have much better match-ups against D12 with Bynum and Gasol trading duties and will have to double team less.

Hopefully none of this matters. Go Denver. Actually, go Cavs, too.

I doubt that Bynum and Gasol can handle D12. I mean they made Birdman well known in this series. I didn't even know of a birdman until he was flying all over the place and play like he was a star player.

If the Lakers big can do their job, it would be Lakers but it seems they disappear more often than they do showing up.

Anyway...rooting for Cavs. I have a feeling they can get it done tonight. But than I also thought the Kings would be a playoff caliber team this season. ;)

What D12 wrecked the Lakers this year. Bynum is a joke so far in the playoffs and Gasol is about as weak as they come. Unless you have Yao or Perkins who are big and strong--D12 will soul crush these soft fools. You are right though, Magic won't be as good on the perimeter though. Magic did season sweep the Lakers though so will have to see. Then again both teams still have to win their respective series.

Magic might actually be a tougher matchup for the Lakers, but HCA in the finals is huge... tough for the home team, no matter how good to win three games against any NBA opponent, much less the best team in the Western Conference.

Orlando did manage to win in LA this year though (I think)....

I think LA would win this series in 6....

Magic beat em in LA, saw that game..It was great.

...Of course it was Jameer that killed them, so that could be trouble for the Magic.

Howard is going to be scraping Pau, Odom, and Bynum off of his shoes after every other play though. Lakers FC is not strong enough to deal with him.

Magic have to get past the Cavs first. I really hope they don't choke tonight, because it's gonna be very hard to win back-to-back game 7's on the road.

Magic was tough during the regular season but it was due to Nelson. He flat out abused Fisher and was too strong for Ears.

27, 4, 5 and 28, 6, 8 in the two games.

He'll be rusty as heck... Rafer Alston can be randomly pretty solid though.

If the Magic can steal one of the first two games from LA, I might be convinced to watch a bit of the series.

Will the Magic be able to continue their astounding shooting from 3pt? And they gotta find a way to not get down 20+ in the first quarter every game. :)

I think the Magic can beat the Lakers

The Magic are still a matchup nightmare and have a dominant big man in Dwight Howard that will DESTORY the Laker bigs.

If it is a Magic-Lakers final I will be rooting for Hedo to win his first 'ship!

Yup, I think the Magic can too.

But they need to win one of the first two games. The 2-3-2 format is BUILT for the team with HCA to win the series in 6.

Game 1 will be ripe for the taking. This LA team is good, but has a penchant for not being ready... and it'll be less motivating to go up against a not ballyhooed at all Magic squad than the Cavs.

Yea the Lakers are that typical all the talent in the world but don't try all the time type team. Let's hope the Magic (assuming they win the series) can catch the Lakers sleeping and steal a game in the first 2.

It would be awesome to see the Magic win it all, it would shut up all the stupid bandwagon Faker fans
